The Baby Comes

  It was the middle of the day. Puck and Finn were in English and Quinn was across the hall in Spanish. Ms. Devo and Mrs. Cane always left their doors open so Finn and Puck had a clear view of Quinn. All the sudden a loud scream was heard in Mrs. Canes room. The boys attention darted to Quinn. She was holding her baby bump and her face was red.

  "Quinn!" Puck yelled.

  "She's coming!" Quinn yelled. Finn jumped up to aid Quinn. Puck followed behind. Puck had already dialed an ambulance. The three walked outside the school. The sirens came closer and soon the ambulance was loading Quinn into the back.

  "It's going to be ok. Breathe. Breathe." Finn said in a calm voice.

  "Shut up!" Quinn yelled. Tears rolled down her hot face. Soon the back doors of the vetch all burst open and a man with a wheel chair was waiting for Quinn. Quinn sat in the chair and the man ran her into the doors of the hospital. The boys were close behind. The reached the maternity ward. A nurse with red hair stopped the boys when they took Quinn into the hospital room.

  "Only the father is allowed in." Finn walked past the nurse. Puck took a seat. His heart was broken. After two hours the sound of his baby girls cry was heard. Puck jumped up. There were to many doctors pushing the baby down the hall and Puck couldn't see her. He walked over to the counter.

  "Can I see Quinn?" He asked with tears in his eyes. The nurse nodded and Puck headed to the room. Quinn and Finn were smiling. When Finn saw Puck he gave him a hug. "Congrats." Puck said. Then the baby rolled in. A nurse picked up the baby girl and handed  her to Quinn.

  "Hi." Quinn laughed.

  "She's beautiful." Puck said.

  "Finn, can you get me some more water please?" Quinn asked. Finn smiled and went to get water.

  "Are you going to keep her from me?" Puck asked.

  "It depends. I don't want her to know your her father. I don't need you bad influence always around her. You always have a new girl friend." She paused. "Now that I say this out loud, yes."

  "Can I hold her... before I leave?" Puck asked timidly. Quinn reluctantly handed over her baby. Puck smiled at the sight of her. "Bye Beth." He said when he handed her back to Quinn. Finn came back just as Puck was leaving.

  "Bye."

  "See you later." With that Puck left any future for him and his daughter... for now.
