Rachel was home alone one night. She grabbed her phone and dialed a familiar number. A few rings later his voice was on the other end of the line.

  "Hello."

  "Finn?"

  "Yeah?"

  "Uh, how are you?"

  "Tired." He laughed.

"Oh sorry, I can hang up. I just wanted to say sorry for tonight."

  "No no no."

  "Ok."

  "What did you want?"

"Just... to hear your voice. I found an old picture, from when we were dating." He laughed.

"Wow, that feels so long ago."

"It's not so distant for me." Rachel smiled.

"Finn?" The voice of Quinn was heard over a loud cry on the other end of the phone.

"Sorry Rachel, I have to go." Finn said right before he hung up.

  "Yeah?" Finn called.

"Can you help me?" Quinn asked. Beth was crying and wasn't falling asleep. Quinn was obviously stressed.

"I've got this, go to bed." He said taking Beth into his arms and patting Quinn on the back.

"Thank you." She smiled. Beth was still crying. Finn picked up a little dog stuffed animal and held it in front of Beth. He started to sing a song but she was soon asleep in his arms. He laid her down and walked to his room.

"Who were you on the phone with?" Quinn asked from the bathroom.

  "Rachel called me."

  "Rachel?" Quinn asked.

"She said she wanted to hear my voice." Finn answered.

"What did you do?" Quinn asked defensively.

  "I talked with her."

"Why!" Quinn was getting mad. "You have a child Finn, you can't go running after other girls!" Quinn yelled. She jumped in bed, covered herself with the sheets and turned her back to Finn.

"I'm sorry." He said. "Rachel and I are still friends."

"I know what it means when a girl wants to hear your voice." Quinn said angrily.

"I'm sorry, it won't happen again." Quinn turned to face him as he got into bed.

  "I love you." Quinn whispered.

"I love you too." He said, kissing her on the forehead. "Good night." He smiled before turning off the lamp.
