The one thing you've got in the apocalypse, is time.

I cradled him in my arms as his coos softly filled the silence in the truck. He was still speckled with dried blood, but water was low and bathing wasn't important unless we found more.

I looked over at 10k, sleeping with his head on Addy's shoulder.

If only. I thought.

Addy slowly opened her eyes, and looked down at Luke.

The apocalypse is no place for a baby.

Warren and the others chattered among themselves, about places to go and where we could try and find supplies. None of it had meaning. In a world gone bad, how could it?

The apocalypse is no place for a baby.

It played over and over in my mind, as the trip to nowhere became longer and longer, stretching into weeks - or months.

"Murphy, is that your Pie Girl?" Doc said, as we pulled up to a woman standing in the road.

"Who's Pie Girl?" Vasquez, as everyone realised that our Pie Girl had swallowed a planet.

"Is she pregnant?" Doc questioned

"Pregnant?!" Murphy yelled, as if it couldn't possible be true.

"Pie Girl." 10k said with a smile.

"She's like 10 months pregnant." Doc said as Sabrina ran to the car window, and exclaimed that daddy was here, rubbing her stomach,

Suddenly, the outline of a child's face appeared to press out of her skin.

"Here he is, Baba, here he is."

Within a week, Sabrina was dead. In a month, so was Cassandra, and Murphy had given his daughter, Lucy, away to a couple in the woods.

I wanted to die, because there was no point in living.

Again, I came in and out, sometimes I blacked out for days, sometimes I was a zombie, just walking.

We got split up again, it always seems to happen, and Im surprised we haven't gotten seperated permanently. Murphy got kidnapped, which seems to be a common thing, there were aliens that turned out to not be aliens and we ended up in Mexico.

Couldn't get any worse, right?
Wrong.
