A strange encounter

~(y/n) POV

All though my past was quite sad I tend not to think about it when I'm working but I can still sense that someone is watching me.

~ no POV

The tavern door had just opened and (y/n)'s head had immediately shot up instantly staring at the dark figure that stood at the door

The figure started to approach (y/n) with a bag

~(y/n) POV

That sound had alerted me but I knew what it meant there was most likely a job for me and quite a good one at that.

The figure arrived my table and threw a bag on the table which made loud bang when it was thrown onto the table

" I need you to do a little job for me".

His voice sounded quite deep but I couldn't quite see they're face.

"It's gonna cost you".

He pointed to the bag and opened it.

Shone in the light I looked at the mysterious figure and reached out to touch the gold but quickly restrained myself.

" what is it you want me to do".

The figures aura seemed to get darker and he seemed to growl when I asked.

" I need you to assassinate the king".

My eyes widened but quickly went back to there once again dull look.

"And is there a reason why you want to kill the king". I said in a hushed tone.

The figure just seemed to stand there and he didn't seem to say anything either.

" the only thing I can tell you is that he took something from me and that something was very important".

I looked down at the table and thought for a minute if I were to kill the king I would be rich but I would also be known as the most feared assassin on the streets.

"I will accept your mission".

" well then I doubt I will be disappointed".
