Chapter Two

Dan walked into class a few seconds before the bell and slid into his normal seat by the window, ignoring the looks from all the other students as he untangled his earbuds and plugged them into his phone, listening to Muse as he waited on their new English teacher. Just as the bell rang a man skidded in, looking flushed and out of breath as he placed his briefcase on the desk. "Hello everyone." He said cheerily, turning to face them as Dan's jaw dropped at the man before him. He had a slim lean build with no obvious muscle tone and snow pale skin that contrasted beautifully with his raven black hair and striking blue eyes.

"I'm your new teacher Mr. Lester. So hi. Uh please get your books out and turn to page 401, and read the passage. If you want to type up the answers to the questions on the next page you can, just turn it in by the end of the period." He said with a smile, and everyone groaned as they began pulling out their books. Dan shook his head at the teacher and put his earphones back in, laying his head on the dels as he looked out the window.

A few moments passed and Phil found himself watching the boy sitting by the window, listening to music rather than doing the work. Sighing, he got up from his chair and hung his jacket on the back of it, ignoring the giggles and mutters from the girls in the room as he walked to the boys desk and tapped on it lightly, smirking a bit when he heard My Chemical Romance blasting from his headphones as he jumped and turned to face Phil. Instantly he was struck by the unique beauty the boy had, his tan skin, curly brown hair and deep brown eyes drew Phil in, then he took a deep breath and sent a small smile. "Where's your book?" He asked, and the boy pulled a piece of paper from his desk. "Here sir, the teacher gave this to us over holiday for homework but no one in here but me did it obviously." He replied with a cheeky smirk as Phil scanned over it quickly, nodding at the students understanding of it.

"You've forgotten to mark your name." He said, and the brunette took it from him with a cheeky grin.
"It's Dan. Dan Howell."
