At seven exactly Saturday evening, Dan stood in Phil's driveway, his breathing faster than usual due to his nerves. "Dan?" A voice asked from the porch, and the boy turned to see Phil standing there in a pair of black skinny jeans and a mint green shirt. "Hi." Dan said softly, grinning as he played with the hem of the over sized black sweater he wore. "You look beautiful." Phil whispered, mesmerised by the uniqueness That the other male possessed as a light flush settled on his cheeks. "T-thanks."

The two got into the car and Phil began to drive, a smile playing on his lips as their hands interlocked, Phil's thumb running across Dan's knuckles as he drove. (Goals??????)
The car finally stopped and Dans eyes widened in excitement. "A dog park?"
"Amethyst let slip that you love dogs, and this was the closet one around." He admitted sheepishly, chuckling as the younger male tackled him in a hug, his eyes alive and sparkling as they pulled apart. "Thank you." He breathed, and Phil nodded, kissing the younger boy gently. "Let's go." Phil grinned, and they climbed out, Dan practically running into the park.

His sweater had dog hair all over it within in five minutes, but he paid it no mind as he rolled around and played with the different breeds, eventually forcing Phil to join as well. Time snuck up on them, and the park closed much to Dans disappointment. "We're coming here every weekend as long as I live." Dan swore as they climbed back into the car, and Phil shook his head with a laugh. "Okay, works for me."
"Where are we going now?" Dan asked in confusion when Phil didn't turn down the road towards Manchester. "You'll see." He grinned, and Dan sighed dramatically.
"Your so mean."
"I try."

Silence fell upon the two after that, until they finally stopped again in front of a small field where the silhouette of a large oak tree could be seen. "Phil..." Dan whispered I awe, and the man have a cheeky grin, reaching into the backseat for a blanket. "This is my favourite place in Rossendale."
"Were in Rossendale?"
"Yeah." He grinned, climbing out and walking forward, holding his hand out to Dan who sighed and took it.
"What now?"
"We can talk, cuddle, look at the stars, whatever you want to do."
"Anything?" He asked, and Phil rolled his eyes. "Teenagers." He muttered and grinned as they sat down on the blanket.

They started off innocently, talking and laughing. Suddenly however, Dan was sprawled out on the blanket with Phil on top of him, pressing kisses down his neck and chest as the boy tangled his fingers in the ink black hair. "Wait." Dan breathed, and Phil's movements ceased instantly as he looked up at the boy. "Yes?"
"I. I've never done this before and I don't know what to think or feel, but I don't wanna rush anything. I guess I'm saying, talking and kissing and all, is fine. More than fine. But anything else...I can't." He rambled, and Phil chuckled, pressing a kiss to his lips. "I understand Dan. I was gonna say the same."
"Really?"
"Really."

Dan smiled and pulled Phil back down to him for a soft sweet kiss, the checked the time on his phone. "Oh fuck! Phil we gotta go!"
"What time is it?"
"Eleven."
"Alright." He said and they hurriedly packed the car back up and sped to Manchester, getting there by 12 in the morning. Dan leaned across the console and connected his lips with Phil's, a low groan escaping his lips as they pulled apart. "What're you doing to me?" Phil whispered and Dan let out a sigh. "Whatever your doing to me."
"Goodnight Daniel."
"Goodnight Phil." He replied, then climbed out of the car and back to his house, unaware that Phil was watching him protectively from his porch, before going inside himself.

They both fell asleep with the other on their mind, and for the first time in months, Dan Howell didn't dream of Phil Lester.
