Lost It All

*Andy's POV*

"Andy, we can't just sit here and do nothing. Someone is trying to hurt her." Jake exclaimed as he stopped in front of me. I was pacing the floor for, I don't know, an hour? The guys were all sitting on the couch, their bodies were still but their eyes were darting around the room. Their faces were full of fear.

"There is nothing we can do." I huffed and balled my hands in fists, pushing passed him. His hand shot out and gripped my shoulder. I glared at him, his brown eyes were filled with determination and something else that I couldn't quit place.

"There is always something someone can do to help." Jake said softly. I shrugged his hand off of my shoulder and turned around to look at Alex.

She was sitting on the floor, curled up in a fetal position. I could see her wings outlined down the back of the sweater and a few feathers popped out from underneath. Her eyes were expressionless as they stared at the carpeted floor. Her decorated hands were gripping the sweatshirt so tightly, that her knuckles were white as a sheet.

"What did he look like?" I asked, trying to remember seeing a male, who stood out in the crowd. But nothing came to mind.

She was silent. That made me panic even more, I felt vulnerable and useless. "Alex what did he look like?" I repeated, but got the same reaction.

I huffed and ran a hand through my hair as I walked to the chair that on the opposite side of the room, by the small window.

*Alexandrite's POV*

I sat there listening to Andy mumbling to himself and the guys talking softly to one another. My thoughts wandered back to when I showed the guys my gift. I felt it right then and there that I could have a team to help me take down Ryker.

I sat there thinking about how to unlock their power. Then the idea hit me and I almost jumped to my feet. I crossed my legs and put my hands on my legs. I could feel my wings move as I calmed my nerves. Calling upon the elements I looked around the room.

I focused on Jake and I saw him tense up as his hair blew a little bit. I saw his eyes flash a golden color and saw an outline of golden wings form behind him. Next, I focused on Jinx. Watching him, I could see a red tint to his irises and what looked like fire- like wings behind him.

Next to him, Ashley had blue wings that looked like they were protecting him, folding over his shoulders. My eyes flashed to CC who was lying on the floor, on his stomach. Green wings sprouted from his shoulder blades, stretched out on the floor.

Finally my eyes landed on Andy who was sitting on a chair beside the window. I saw silver wings that stretched down from his back, the tips touching the floor. Looking back around the room at the guys, they all seemed aware of the change in the air, but I could see by their faces that they didn't see what I saw. One by one I released each element and their wings faded.

At that very moment I knew that I have found the key to take my brother down. Now the only problem is how to show them that they have the power to help me.

"Guys we have to get ready to hit the road." I jumped when their manager peeked his head into the room.

I got up along with the guys and followed them out to the bus. My mind raced with ideas on how to unlock their power. My wings ruffled as we exited the arena, eager to spread out and fly through the starry sky. As much as I wanted to run away and hide from Ryker, I couldn't leave the guys alone. Not now, when Ryker saw me with them. I didn't want to risk anyone getting hurt.

I slipped out of my sweater when I sat down on the couch, my wings opened, slightly, stretching from being cramped up in the small sweater. They folded over my shoulders as I brought my legs to my chest, leaning my head on the back of the couch. I watched as the bus started to move and the lights of New York City passed us by. People walked the streets, unaware of the danger that surrounded them.

The guys said their good nights and walked to their bunks. I gave them a small smile and went back to looking out the window. I took Andy's iPod out of the pocket of the sweater and plugged the earbuds into the audio jack. Hitting shuffle, a soft piano intro started to play. My breath caught in my throat, forming a lump in it as Andy's voice started to softly sing. Tears gathered in my eyes as the song continued to play.

'Cause I lost it all
Dead and broken.
My back's against the wall.
Cut me open.
I'm just trying to breathe,
Just trying to figure it out
Because I built these walls to watch them crumbling down.
I said, "Then I lost it all."
Who can save me now?

I got up and walked down the small hallway, to Andy's bunk. I crawled up and snuggled next to him. A tear slipped down the side of my cheek as I saw a flash of lightening shoot across the sky. Ryker's voice echoed in my head, dangerous and menacing.

You will not escape me, I will be coming for you. Taking down everyone who stands in my way. You may have gotten away this time, but you won't be able to run forever. See you soon little sister.

Andy's arm wrapped around me, as if he knew that I was in danger. I felt myself relax and my wing wrapped around us, covering us like a protective blanket.

Hey guys, sorry about the late update. I haven't had the time or well the motivation to write. It has been a rough couple of weeks. But I will try and update again soon.
