Point of No Return

*Alexandrite's POV*

My heart sank as I watched Andy collapse to his knees, his fingers clawing at his head. Jinx's foot lifted and I could crawl a few feet away. Little pebbles and dirt dug into my knees and hands.

Closing my eyes, I focused on getting every ounce of energy I can. Calling each of the elements, they ignited the magic in my blood and I could feel the bones in my wing pull back together. My marks faintly glowed but it was enough to give me hope that my powers were finally being restored.

"Please let me help them." I whispered, lifting my head. "By the power of the elements, please guide me in the right direction to save my new family."

"Jake." Ryker said. "You want to take the first swing?" I saw his mouth twist into a mischievous grin. I couldn't help but cringe when Jake turned and faced me.

His eyes were pitch black. It was like staring into the eyes of a demon. "My pleasure." Even his voice didn't sound the same, it sounded more dark and dangerous instead of pure and caring. But I noticed that they all have the same demonic eyes.

His wings opened wide and his hand shot out, a powerful gust of wind hit me. I screamed as I held my hands out, trying to push back but the force was too strong. Loose papers and pebbles flew past me, hitting the building and cars behind me. The impact shot me back into a lamp post. Hitting the ground, I slowly got to my feet and sighed.

"I'm sorry, guys." A ball of fire ignited in my hand and I threw the ball at them. Jinxx intercepted and the balls collided together, exploding and tiny specks of light rained down to the asphalt. But in the corner of my eye I saw a car smoking. My eyes widened as the car went up into flames. A line of fire started to spread as the gasoline trickled down from the car.

There was a small line of fire that separated us. Looking through the heat and smoke I saw them glaring at me as they stalked forward. I crouched and launched myself into the sky. With a few powerful beats of my wings, I flew above the smoke that swirled around my feet. Looking down, I could see Andy and the others take flight.

I gathered a ball of bright blue swirls when I saw Jinxx take flight with his arms covered in flames. A bright orange ball of flames came hurdling towards me, and I threw the blue ball of energy towards the flame. It dispersed in a low sizzle and a cloud of smoke hung in the air.

My eyes widened as Ashely came through the middle of the smoke, swinging his arm and his fist connected with my side. I groaned in pain and my height faltered as I was thrown to the side. My wings grabbed onto the wind, allowing me to regain altitude.

I felt flames lick my arms as I called fire to me. I gasped when a vine wrapped around my foot, dragging me down. My hand gripped onto the bright green vine, burning it alive. The vine turned to ash and blew away in the wind. My hands shot out at CC and a burst of flame exploded in front of him, flinging him backwards.

There was a crash in the building behind them as CC went through the windows. Fire raged down below, lighting up the streets below us. I pushed myself higher, above the buildings and I could hear Ryker yelling.

"You won't get away that easily! Andy, now!" My eyes widened as Andy came up through the smoke.

"This ends now." Andy's dark voice growled, his demon eyes glaring into mine. He lifted his hand and a purple ball of light form in the middle of his palm.

My mind was screaming at me to call all the elements and finish them, but my mouth couldn't form the words. I stared into his eyes and bowed my head. Completely surrendering to my fate.

Ryker will finally get what he wants. I will finally be out of the way and he will get the spot he always wanted.

I glanced up and saw Jake, Jinxx, CC, Andy and Ashely hovering in front of me. Their elements ignited to their max potential, their hands glowing with their elemental colors.

"You came so close, little sis." Ryker said, coming up beside Andy. "But you lost."

"You will never win because I'm not backing down!" I exclaimed, throwing everything I had at him. The ball of pure energy collided with Ryker, exploding. The force knocked us all out of the air, sending us spiraling downward.

"Alexandrite!" I heard the guys scream before I collided with the asphalt. A burst of white light flashed behind my eyes and then it went dark.
