A waiter, who was probably a working student, placed a decent plate of pasta and a basket of garlic bread in front of Petra.
"D-do you need anything else?" the freckled waiter nervously asked her.
"No, this is fine, thank you." Petra said with her over - generous smile.
The waiter weakly smiled. Then his eyes accidentally caught sight of Petra's tight jade - colored turtle neck. Tight jade - colored turtle neck. Of course, Levi noticed this. The waiter suddenly felt the hairs on his back stand, like someone was glaring at him. He looked behind him and saw the man, who sat in front of the stunning beauty, giving him the most intimidating look he had ever seen in his entire, pathetic life. The young man gasped and quickly went away. Levi crossed his arms, throwing dagger looks at the poor waiter.
Tch, stupid brat.
But, then again, who could blame the boy? Petra, as much as Levi hated to admit, looked really voluptuous today, with the aforementioned turtle neck that complimented her petite, yet balanced form. Her hair was gathered on a single braid that gently covered the right side of her chest. The white pants she wore hugged her slender thighs, and for the first time, he actually realized that she really was this attractive. Yes, he found her utterly and undeniably attractive.
No, the word attractive was merely a vast understatement.
He noticed that Petra was looking shyly and confusingly at him.
"What?"
"Are you sure you don't want anything?" she said.
"I'm sure." he said in one of his, boring monotonous tones. But, to Petra, it sounded so weirdly entrancing.
"Then, at least let me pay for - "
"I said," Levi argued. "... it's on me."
Petra frowned. You really can't win an argument against Levi. "Thank you, Levi."
He didn't say anything. Instead, he took out his box of cigarettes and his lighter from his pocket. He looked at her before lighting one. "I hope you don't mind."
"No,..."
"Good, then." Levi picked one and started. "However, you, my little girl, must start eating right now before you collapse. I don't want to be the one who'll drag you back to your house."
Why does that sound appealing to me?
She picked up her fork and eyed him with her bravest look. "Please, stop calling me your little girl. I may be small but, I'm definitely not - yours."
Levi couldn't help it but smirk at Petra's attempt at putting up a brave front. And the way she said yours, and the way her cheeks changed color, made him actually feel that he's up for that challenge anytime of the day, should she declare it. Just how long could this innocent female stand up against him if he tried? And in his current state and bad shape, he doesn't intend to hold back. He was very, very interested to find out.
