Kuchel did tell Levi something important that day.
In her own perspective, that is.
Levi couldn't help it but groan; she didn't have to do that. Do I look like a jolly person to you, mom?
And besides, Levi wasn't exactly himself since that day he last saw Petra. The morning after that incident, he woke up in his bed, fully aware that he just had a very vivid dream about her, and he was forced to find out if the evidence of his desire was present on his clean, white covers. Fortunately, there was none but, still, it was a very embarrassing experience.
But, embarrassment aside, that dream he had actually felt odd to him, like he knew that it was a really important experience. Even though the events that took place in it never really occurred. He felt,... happy.
Like he had died and gone to heaven.
And it was enough to make him sincerely pray to God to send him back to that dream.
But then, God still had more plans for Levi that afternoon. And so, he was currently being faced with that once a year experience when he had to force himself to actually socialize.
Wow, what a really jolly day this would be!
He was about to face the cold winter atmosphere outside when he heard someone knocking on his front door. Please, don't be Eren,...
And when he opened it, he was greeted by eight kids from ages six to twelve, all filthy and drooling, wearing mufflers and heavy sweaters, holding music sheets and stuffing their lungs out singing the one song they studied for this very important day,...
"He sees you when you're sleeping. He knows when you're awake. He knows if you've been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake! Oh,... you better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I'm telling you why. Santa Claus is cominnnggg - to town! "

Petra carefully placed tonight's desserts inside the fridge as per Kuchel's instructions.
How in the world did she get herself inside Kuchel's house for Christmas? Simple. The sweet, older lady invited Petra herself for this evening's festivities. She was so excited planning the event that she had no choice but to agree with her. She doesn't have any heart to refuse the lady and make her unhappy. And it was really hard for her, since it happened approximately two hours after Levi left her that day. She was still doing her best to control her pathetic sobs when Kuchel sent her a message that she would be visiting her right now and that she was going to tell her something exciting. She let her former teacher in, offered her lunch, received a wonderful present from her for her birthday, and sat down, ready to listen to what Kuchel has to say.
