Chapter 9 ~ It's Important

Lynn's POV
Hesitantly I exit the comfort of my bed and walk the few steps towards my window, peek around the plain curtains and lock eyes with Andy.
Just seeing his cute smile staring up at me made me feel warm, I always felt like I mattered in his presence. He gave me a feeling that no other boy could, he made me feel special. I opened my window hesitantly and peaked my head out to look down on the blonde boy stood below me.

"So you em.. come here often" Andy says with a smile, I giggle slightly at his humour.

"Andy what are you doing here?" I question.

"Well I wanted to see you and I couldn't wait the few hours until school, I em.." he stopped looking up at me bitting his lip slightly "I missed you Lynn" the look in his eyes made me melt.

"Andy you're actually ridiculous" I laugh and consider exiting the house.
"Please Lynn, I have a gift... for you." he looks up with his bright puppy dog eyes, I couldn't say no.
"Give me a second" I say rolling my eyes.
I slide on my vans trainers and tidy my hair from lying in bed. Reluctantly I made my way towards the window and climbed out onto the roof before sliding down the tiles to land besides Andy. We lock eyes and my efforts felt all worth it.
"So..." I pause "what's my gift?" He stays silent.
He moves closer quickly not letting me question his silence. His lips touch mine, like they did before but it feels like sparks. The sparks double with every second his lips are pressed to mine. Until hesitantly he pulls away and smiles a familiar smile.
He takes my hand in his and we begin walking, as you could imagine not many places were open at this time at night. But that didn't bother us, all we needed was each other's company, that was enough for us.
We talked and wondered about for what felt like hours, lost in our conversation. We spoke about our fears and what we wanted to do when we grew up, the kind of conversation that is had at a silly time in the morning. Just as we saw the sun start to rise I remembered that I must get home, I tell Andy and he offers to walk me back, I accept his offer.
He walks me home with my hand still in his giving me a feeling of safety, as we approach my house the sun is still low, darkness still overpowering the town.
"Lynn" Andy looks up at me and holds both my hands in both of his, I get an unpleasant feeling.
"Y-yes Andy?" I question.
"There's something about you and it's addictive, I can't get enough of you. Lynn I think.." he pauses looking at the ground.

"I think I love you, Lynn"

My heart jumps, knowing he feels the same.

"I love you too Andy" I blush.
He giggles slightly and re locks our eye contact.

"Lynn could I ask you a question? It's important"
I nod my head slowly, nervous about his question. He looks nervous too, as he stares at the ground then back at me.
