Andys POV
I drifted in and out of sleep, hearing whispers of my name and feeling the presence of others. i felt someone's hand move though my hair waking me up slowly, the comfort of human touch made me relax slightly. I felt a bead of cold sweat run down my nose as my breathing slowed and I slowly lifted my eyelids. I was confronted with a familiar room, a beige colour with posters scattered around the walls. I was lying on a bed that Wasn't mine. I felt someone's hand holding mine, my eyes drifted towards the person locking eye Comcast.
"Andy?..... are you awake?" The familiar voice made me feel warm. I felt like I couldn't speak but I nodded slightly and she handed me a glass of water. I used the water to clear my throat and was able to speak.
"Thank you Lynn.." I whispered. I had so many questions but every time I thought about it my head hurt.
"Could I get some painkillers?" I ask gently, Lynn nods and stands up to grab the pills from across the room. She hands two capsules to me and I swallow them with the water.
"I think you fainted andy, just as we were saying good bye, you walked away and then fell.." Lynn explained. The thought made my head hurt, but also made me wonder if the disaster with my mum was all a dream..
"Wh-where's my mum?" I question
"Em, I guess she's at home? I Tried to phone her from your phone but she didn't pick up, I think she might be worried about you." Lynn spoke softly.
"So she's alright? She's alive?" I spoke louder, the worry clear in my voice.
"Yes yes Andy I'm sure she's okay" she placed her hand back on mine, making me calm down.
The room got quiet again and Lynn laid her head on my chest, I closed my eyes and tried to enjoy the moment. I move my head slightly to reveal an agonising pain in the back of my head.
"Ouch!" I exclaimed loudly, waking Lynn from her rest.
"Andy what's wrong?" She looks panicked.
"It- it hurts, my head, did I fall?"
She looked at me, pain in her eyes.
"You had a minor fall, you lost a bit of blood but you're all fixed up now, just don't put too much pressure on your left leg, you hit it pretty bad" she looked sad giving me the bad news.
I nodded and closed my eyes again
"I'll just need to get lots of rest"
She stayed silent but placed her head back down on my chest, I still had a lot of questions but my head hurt so much I couldn't concentrate.
