Phil woke up around 3 o clock a few days or so later. The doctor briefed him on his condition. A man walked in, wearing what Phil assumed to be a candystriper uniform. He waved weakly, and the man replied with a posh sounding hello.
"Hi,Phillip, I'm Dan Howell. I'm here to keep you company. Um, it seems that you have no relatives or anyone who has visited this whole time. That's why I was assigned to you.." Phil nodded. "No one cares because I'm just useless. Also, you can call me Phil." Dan looked away, muttering,"That's not true... no one is useless." He then said, louder this time,"That's not true, but I know how you feel. I, uh, attempted once." Phil was couldn't believe it. The man seemed so happy. He didn't seem depressed at all.
"Hey, Dan, who found me?" Dan sighed. "I don't have access to that, I'm sorry. You can ask one of the nurses or doctors, though." Phil nodded, understanding.
"So,Phil, tell me about yourself." Phil thought for a moment, and said,"I'm from the north, so that explains the difference in the accent. Uh, I'm gay, so life was tough after I came out." Dan smiled. "I understand how that feels. I'm also gay." Dan checked the time. "Oh god, I have to get going. I'll see you later, Phil. Bye!" He walked out the door, leaving Phil with his awful thoughts again.
How's the short little first chapter? I thought it was okay, but it's probably really shit, tbh. Lemme know!
