Yay! I decided to update again! Me being bored overwhelmed my procrastination. Hope you enjoy my shit!
The two boys talked every day for two weeks. Phil greatly enjoyed the company of the chocolate-haired boy. Phil looked up as he walked in that day, smiling at the blue eyed boy. "Hey, Phil, how are you?" He asked. Phil smiled a small, but genuine smile. "I'm a little bit better, I guess." Dan's eyes wrinkled at the corners as his smile became a little bit bigger.
"So, Phil, how much longer are you going to be in here?" Dan inquired. "I don't know. Until I'm stable, I guess." Dan nodded. "Hey, Phil? Don't give up. You've got this. I'll be here everyday to help you get better. 5:00, you've got me." Phil smiled. "Thanks, Dan."
"Anytime, Philly."
"Oh my god, did you just call me Philly?"
"Yes, I did. Do you want me to go worse and call you Philly Cheesesteak? 'Cause I can do that."
"No fucking way, Danny."
"Ah, whatever," Dan chuckled. Phil laughed, too, almost unrecognizable in this moment from what he was when he was first admitted. He was, in fact, doing a lot better all because of Dan's support. Phil wouldn't tell anyone this, but he actually had a little crush on him. Dan didn't feel the same, though, this Phil knew.
Dan looked at the clock. "Damn, I'm ten minutes late for the bus. I really need to go, so I can at least catch the next one." He gave Phil a quick, friendly hug, per usual, and set off.

A few days passed, their routine the same. Phil struggled a little still, but most of his days were okay. This particular day, however, his thoughts had taken over his mind. They swirled around, an endless torture to Phil.
Dan walked in, seeing Phil in his awful state. "Phil? Are you okay?" Phil nodded weakly, giving an obviously fake smile. "I'm fine." Dan narrowed his eyes in suspicion.
"I don't know. You seem... almost dejected."
"I- nevermind.."
Dan walked over to the side of Phil's bed and have him a long hug. He whispered reassurances to Phil when he broke down. Time passed just like this until it was almost time to go. Dan looked at the time, softly saying, "Phil, I need to go." Phil looked up at him, pleading with his eyes. "Please stay. I need support. The nights are so hard." Dan, of course, couldn't say no to those eyes, no matter how hard he tried. "Alright," he whispered, the now all too familiar feeling rising in his chest.
Dan got up for just a minute to go tell someone what he was doing, and, of course, to get himself some blankets. He came back, immediately sitting by Phil's bedside again.
"I'm here whenever you need me, Philly."
"Okay."
Dan whispered soothing words in Phil's ear until he fell asleep. Then Dan relaxed and fell asleep himself.
~~~~~~~~Phil woke up sweating from a nightmare. He looked around, frightened and crying. Dan stirred for a moment before opening his eyes, groaning. He looked over at Phil, groggily whispering, "Are you okay, Philly?" Phil shook his head. Dan wrapped him in an embrace, not asking any questions. "It'll be okay. I've got you."
Phil's sobs continued, along with unintelligible mumbling about his dream. Dan looked at him with a soft look in his eyes. "Shh. It's okay, I have you now." Phil continued to sob. "God... I wish I could help more. Please stop crying." Dan finally cut off his sobs with a kiss, desperate for something. Maybe because he wanted to really badly, too.
Phil swallowed, and almost immediately kissed back. When Dan pulled away, Phil had those butterflies that you only get around someone special. "This is definitely against hospital code."
"Oops."
Dan sighed. "Get back to sleep, okay? We can talk in the morning, but you need rest." Phil smiled. "Alright."
