Life of Katniss

Chapter 11

Katniss POV
               
                   Finally its Friday, I had one more class till it was the end of the day. After what seemed like centuries the bell finally ringed. I grabbed all my things and then me and Annie ran all the way home to get ready before the boys came to pick us up. When parted ways and when I got to my front door I zoomed in and went straight into the shower. I washed my hair well and put extra conditioner so it can be really soft. I got out and changed into the dress Prim told me to wear then I started to do a different style of braid that my mom taught me awhile ago but I'm only going to wear it on occasions like this.

After I finished that, I picked some perfume that I got in my room and put some on. Since my mom says I'm not aloud to wear high heels till I'm 15 she got me some pretty sandals that I like a lot. And the good thing is they match the color of my dress I'm wearing😊.

I was all ready to go, the only thing I'm doing now is waiting for Peeta to pick me up. A few minutes later there was a knock on the door. I went to open it and it was Peeta, he was wearing simple black jeans and shoes and a white V shirt. He looked really cute, well to me of course😊. I tried not to blush because if I do I would get really red and its not a pretty picture." Hi Peeta "  I said while looking to the side so he wouldn't see the blush on my face. "Hi Katniss, you look beautiful," I thought I wasn't breathing for a second when he said that😆. "Ready to go" he asked me. "Yes let's go" he extended his arm so I can get ahold of it and we started walking to the carnival. It wasn't that far it was a little more closer than the school, it was at least a five minute walk. When we got there I could see Finnick and Annie in the entrance standing together waiting for us. "Hey Annie over here!" I shouted to her, she finally saw me and waved. Annie looked beautiful she was wearing a green dress with flowers on it and matching green sandals.

"Wow Annie I love your dress" I told her. "Thank you Katniss I love your dress as well😊" she complimented back. "Well, shall we go in" Finnick asked us. We all said yes at the same time and we went in. I was so exited I wanted to try all the games in the carnival. We went on a few rides and we ate some hot dogs with a smoothy. It was really good. The whole time we were sticking together. We tried some games but I didn't win any, either way I still had fun with it. Peeta won, one game. It was one of those games where you have to put a small hoop and throw it in a glass bottle. He got a few  hoops in and for the prize he got a white teddy bear it was the cutest thing I saw. "I love your teddy bear" I told him I really did like it it was really simple but cute😻. "Here, I won it for you" Peeta told me. "Really?" I asked, Peeta nodded his head and smiled. " Thank you Peeta" I told him I was so happy that I gave him a hug. That was the first time I ever did it, it felt warm, I stayed like that for a few seconds.

After we were done playing a few more games we decided before we leave we would ride the ferris wheel, before we got in Annie showed me her stuffed puppy that Finnick gave her it was so adorable.

When we were getting on we decided we would get on different cars. First Peeta and I went on the first car and then Finnick and Annie on the second. We got to the top and I can see the view from our town it was beautiful even the stars were shining bright tonight. I loved it. We just stayed staring at the full moon, it was quite very peaceful. It soon had to be over, the ride seemed short to me. I wish it was longer, we got off the car and we waited for Annie and Finnick to get off the ride. Peeta started walking with me back to my house and we were soon in front of my doorsteps to my house. "I had a great time Peeta, thank you" I told Peeta, I'm glad I went with him. "Your welcome Katniss, I'm glad you decided to come with me😊" he said with a grin. "Good night Peeta I'll see you on Monday😊" I was about to get inside but before I did, Peeta quickly but at the same time slow, kissed my check gently and said  good night and left me there speechless. I couldn't breath, everything went so fast my heart was beating fast and I had more butterflies in my stomach then I had before. When I got inside Prim was still awake, she was waiting for me this whole time so before we went to bed I told her everything. I had a great day and all I could think about when I went to sleep was Peeta.
