Monica's POV
When the tornado finally stopped we climbed out of the shelter. Debris littered the streets. Tree branches, glass, wood, pieces of homes, power lines, you name it it was there. It was a devastating scene, our house was ripped apart and there was a giant hole that went through it.
"What do we now?" I asked
"I don't know we can check into the homeless shelter" Mom suggested "unless anyone needs medical attention?"
"No I think we're all good"
"Ok well lets get going, I guess we'll be taking Tommy's car"
"Yeah because yours is in the kitchen" I pointed to were I was looking.
"Yeah... we can't get it out on our own, come on, every one pile into Tommy's car."
We drove down the road to the shelter. Trying to avoid the debris was a bit tricky, but Tommy's an excellent driver and he kept us safe.
Tommy's POV
Driving to the shelter felt like forever because of how slow I had to drive to avoid the debris. I turned on the radio and listened to the weather update.

"I hope everyone is ok from the storm but don't get comfortable yet. We have an update that another storm might be on the way. Stay safe and we'll update back with you later."
"Are you kidding me?" Mom cried. "First a tornado comes through and destroyed our house, now we have to survive another storm?"
"Uh mom can I go storm chasing with aunt Judy?" I asked.
"ABSOLUTELY NOT, I CAN'T RISK LOSING YOU. MAY I REMIND YOU THAT YOUR FATHER DIED BECAUSE OF STORM CHASING?"
"Please I promise to be careful and not get to close."
"Tommy please, I don't want to lose you!"
"He'll be fine I'll go with him" aunt Judy said.
"Okay fine just promise you'll be careful" Mom said.
"I will I will I will" I said stuttering.
We arrived at the shelter and were greeted by volunteers, employees and nurses. We checked out a room for the five of us and headed to the cafeteria for dinner.
When we finished our dinner aunt Judy and I headed to the car and drove off to find the storm that was on the way.
June 8th 6:20 PM

"Good afternoon everyone we have the latest update on the weather. There is another tornado watch in the area and we strongly hope that you are keeping watch, a super cell thunder storm is 6 miles north from the city so please be prepared for another tornado because there is a very high chance another one is on the way."
"I think we should go north a few miles" I said. "That might give us a chance to see the tornado."
"Ok, but remember that we need to be careful, or else your mom will freak" aunt Judy said.
We drove north a few miles. The farther we went the darker it got. Soon enough we heard the sirens blaring again and as I turned left and there it was. Trying to get a little closer I pulled the car up closer to the tornado.
"Time to take a video" I said pulling my phone out. I recorded the tornado for about a minute until it got too close.
"Tommy!" "Drive the other way"
Aunt Judy yelled.
I put the car in reverse and drove the other way. It was too fast, the next thing I new the car rolled on its side and into a ditch. I managed to get out and help aunt Judy. She was okay but I was hurt. I saw blood on my leg, then Something heavy hit the back of my head. The world started spinning and I started seeing black as I faded in and out of consciousness. Then everything went black completely.
