Chapter 13: A "Warm" Welcome

Lucy P.O.V
The whole team and I spent those 2 and a half months training our asses off, not just our bodies but our minds as well. We haven't interacted much with Fairy Tail since the first day, but I'm sure they trained as much as we did and will be real competition for us next Sunday when this whole GMG thing starts. 
This morning we decided to use our time wisely and train for just a few hours before we had to catch our train home. After about 5 hours of training we all showered and then headed in the direction of the train station. I of course sat right next to Rogue in our own separate booth "Do you think we'll win" I ask suddenly which seemed to make Rogue pause. "Of course we will!" he says with a bright reassuring smile that no one gets to see but me. "How do you know though?" I ask with a hopeful stare and he softy chuckles to himself. "Look around you...this guild is full of so much love and trust. We are all strong , with and without each other. I have no doubt in my mind about our strength." I smile and kiss his cheek to let him know that his answer was enough before laying my head on his shoulder and slowly falling into a dreamless slumber.

Rogue P.O.V
The train kept getting delayed so it took us extra long to get home, we were literally on that train for 2 days trying to travel from a place that was only supposed to take 10 hours at most. We actually ran out of motion sickness pills after the first day so Lucy, Sting, and I were all very very exhausted from all the headaches and nausea. When we finally stopped at the station we all hobbled off and collapsed onto the ground.
"NEVER..... *BARF* ......AGAIN" I heard Sting struggle.
"Agreed....." Lucy and I said in unison before picking ourselves up and gathering our things.
"Well at least we have 4 days to recover before having to leave for the grand magic games." Lucy says optimistically.
"That's true...but we'd better buy some more motion sickness pills before then" I say which gains a nod of agreement from everyone.

Lucy P.O.V
After that we all went our separate ways, I had Virgo carry our bags home since they wanted to hang out around the guild and I wanted to sleep. I then began walking to the apartment alone which didn't bother me because I liked the silence. When I arrived I checked our mailbox to find at least 100 letters all addressed to me from the same person.

*4 HOURS LATER*

Rogue P.O.V
I came home without Sting at around 8 and I almost instantly smelled salt in the air. I worriedly ran towards my bedroom to find Lucy reading a bunch of letters and crying all over them.
"Lucy???" I ask and she starts to cry harder while covering her mouth.
"Lucy!" I yell as I quickly run to her side and hold her. 
"How can I face them???" She asks hysterically as she cries into my shoulder.
"Baby please talk to me..." I whisper into her ear.
"These letters.....they're all from Natsu..." She cries harder.
"What's in them?" 
"He wants me to come back to Fairy Tail, he told me he loves me and that he always has but he never thought I'd feel the same because of the type of person I am....*stiffle*... so he moved on to Lissanna because she openly admitted to liking him, and he went on and on and on about how much I'm missed at the guild and how much he needs me....*over-exaggerated sniffle*... He keeps saying that I don't belong here in Sabertooth and that I need to come home." She sniffles and attempts to wipe away the waterworks.

"Don't listen to him....he made his bed and now he has to lie in it. He made that choice not to go for it and now that you're gone and happy he wants to bring you down. Don't let people like that hurt you because I once heard a wise man say "Life ain't about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward..." and I know you can take a lot, don't let this tear you down. I don't like seeing you like this, Lucy!" I say as I wipe away her tears away.
"Did you really just quote Rocky Balboa?" Is her only response and we both laugh.
"I knew I could make you smile" I say as I start to clean up all the letters and stuff them into a shoe box.
"Hey! I wasn't done reading those!" She pouts.
"I came home to tell you something.." I blush.
"What is it?" She asks seemingly scared of my answer.
"You're my everything and I never want you to feel like I don't appreciate you or like the weakest because you'll always be the strongest woman I know." I smirk because I know how much I just made her blush.
"ROGUE!!" She hits me while blushing like a tomato.
