It had now been seven and a half months since Lydia had moved to Beacon Hills. Seven and a half months since she'd first met Allison, Malia, Scott and Stiles. She wasn't entirely sure where the time had gone but it was now summer and she was enjoying the long break from school. She had found three more poems and now had a collection of six hanging on her wall, though she was still no closer to figuring out who wrote them. Today was her six month anniversary with Stiles and she was heading out with Allison to buy a cute new dress to wear tonight for their date.

Stiles finally decided to get out of bed and threw on sweatpants before heading downstairs for some breakfast. He made his way to the kitchen and poured himself a cup of coffee before taking a seat at the table across from his dad who slid a plate of pancakes over to him.

"Morning son." his dad said in greeting, looking up from his newspaper.

"Not working this morning?" Stiles asked upon noticing his dad wasn't in his Sheriff's uniform.

"No I'm gonna be working tonight. Needed to shift some things around for the next couple of days at the office." he explained. Stiles nodded his head and went back to his pancakes. After finishing he got up to put his dishes in the sink and then turned to look back at his dad.

"Hey dad it's okay if I have Lydia over tonight, right? It's king of our six month anniversary and I was gonna cook dinner....." he trailed off, looking at his dad hopefully. His dad contemplated for a bit before finally responding.

"I suppose so.... but don't go getting any ideas just because I won't be home tonight." he said, pointing his rolled up newspaper at Stiles in warning. Stiles simply laughed and shook his head before heading back upstairs to get dressed. He had to run some errands to pick up everything he would need for tonight.

"So what are your plans for tonight?" Allison asked Lydia as they were walking through the mall.

"He's cooking me dinner at his house." Lydia told her, pointing out a store she wanted to go into.

"Okay so nothing too fancy." Allison replied, nodding her head. The girls started looking at dresses, picking out a few for Lydia to try on. After giving up on the first store, they moved onto another.

"So have you and Stiles had sex yet?" Allison asked. Lydia snapped her head up, surprised by her friends bluntness.

"Um..no." Lydia said, looking back down at the clothing rack.

"Do you think tonight....?" Allison trailed off, looking at her friend in curiosity.

"I-I don't know. Oh god I didn't even think about that. Do you think he...?" Lydia trailed off nervously. Allison was quick to calm her friend down.

"Hey it's okay. Look it's not like Stiles is going to expect sex. He cares about you so if you're not ready, he'll respect that." Allison told her. Lydia nodded, her heart still racing.

"But would you want to? I mean I already know you're not a virgin, so why are you so nervous?" Allison asked her.

"I mean of course I would want to, it's just things are going so well and I don't want anything to mess it up." she explained. "What if we do have sex and then it's awkward the next day?"

"I can guarantee that it won't be awkward." Allison said confidently.

"How do you know?" Lydia asked.

"Because you know Stiles. You know he cares about you and he wouldn't let it be awkward." she explained. Lydia looked at her friend for a moment before nodding in agreement.
