"Did you see her?" Stiles asked his friend as they got back to the bench with the rest of their team.

"Yes, I saw her. What's the matter?" Scott asked. Stiles looked at him incredulously.

"What's the matter? She is quite literally the most beautiful girl in the entire world, and you can figure out my problem here?" Stiles rambled on to his friend. Scott still looked back at him with a confused expression across his face. "Scott she's about to watch us play lacrosse. I'm probably not even gonna get to play which is bad enough, but what if coach puts me on the field? Scott you know I'm not the greatest at this sport." he frantically explained. "Lydia is watching, all this game is gonna do is embarrass me and put me on an even lower level from her. She's already way out of my league, man. What do I do?" he asked in defeat. Scott pondered this question for awhile before coming up with an idea. Hey abandoned his friend for a minute to go talk to coach.

"Hey coach, um I've heard some of the other teachers complaining about how you don't give all the players equal playing time. I think they're planning on bringing it up to the principal." he lied straight to his coaches face.

"What? This is a competitive team, of course I use my best players. Dammit I don't need their scrutiny right now." the coach mumbled that last part, but Scott still heard it.

"Maybe if they see some fresh faces on the field today they'll back off? You haven't put Stilinski on the field in awhile." Scott casually said, pretending to insert a random name.

"Fine. Go tell the moron that he can play today. But don't get his hopes up for this being a regular thing." the coach told him. He quickly ran back to his friend who had a look of confusion across his face.

"Dude, you're playing." Scott told Stiles. Stiles narrowed his eyes at the boy.

"This was your brilliant idea? Scott, I suck. That isn't gonna impress Lydia." he replied.

"Just follow me and do exactly what I tell you." Scott said before walking over to join the rest of the team. All this did to Stiles was make his nerves go haywire, but he took a deep breath and followed his friends lead.

The girls had been sitting for a few minutes now when the whistle finally blew to begin the game. Lydia was quickly regretting wearing a dress when goosebumps spread across her legs from the chill. She quickly ran her hands along her legs in an attempt to warm them up.

"So what numbers are Scott and Stiles?" Lydia turned to ask her friends. Malia was the first to respond.

"Scott is number 11 and Stiles is 24 but you probably won't see him, coach doesn't play him very-wait, oh my god do you guys see that? Stiles is actually on the field!" she pointed out to her friends. Lydia followed her line of sight and saw the big '24' on the back of his jersey. The girls all started cheering for him and Lydia decided to join in.

"Ya Stiles! Woooooooo!" she shouted. She saw him glance over at her, a worried look on his face. "Guys why does he look so scared?" she asked the other girls.

"Probably because he never really gets to play. Your first game and you actually get to see Stiles on the field. Enjoy the show." Allison said, turning back to watch the game while laughing at what was to come. She definitely knew about Stiles skills when it came to lacrosse, and while she was worried he would embarrass himself, she knew Lydia would never actually judge him just because he's not the best at lacrosse.

"Okay when the ball is in their end, stay near the net. I'll try to get you the ball. And then, Stiles, you gotta shoot it. If it's in our end, just try to stay ahead of them. Got it?" Scott asked as he grabbed his friend by the shoulder, telling him his plan.
