Jimin took in a deep breath before marching forward. It seemed although he was great, brilliant, at his job, he couldn't help being heavily nervous. He had been working here for just over two few years and yet had only made slight acquaintances with two people, who had both moved on to other places. Jimin stayed though. He wasn't sure why. Maybe it was because he just enjoyed his work, even though most others thought it was dull. He always managed to see the brighter side of things. Though, maybe it was time to move on like everyone else.
As soon as the thought came to his mind he waved it off. It was tiring work, but Jimin was loyal, even if he barely managed to fit in. In his words it was because 'no one was here because of enjoyment' apart from him.
He also felt like even thinking of leaving here would bring the attention of his 'ghost boss'. He calls him that because it would be a rare occasion to see the legendary Mr Jung since he was always in his office before everyone, and wouldn't even leave on break. While others would jump at the chance of getting some food and fresh air he would just stay in the building, locking himself away. He worked until everyone else had gone.
Though, Jimin was normally quite early so he would always spot his boss coming in just after. He just never looked up from his desk much. So telling you how Mr Jung looked would be a difficult task for Jimin.
Of course, he had always heard the gossip coming from his female co-workers. They spoke of how handsome Mr Jung was and how he would always manage to glow, no matter how long he had locked himself away. They also let Jimin know when his boss did come out on the unusual occasion because they would all swoon in unison.
He was apparently quite young as well. The business had been handed down to him when he was really young and he had been working from then on. He had taken over just as Jimin came into the company, and yet after two long years he had only looked Mr Jung in the eyes once. The first and last time was when Jimin began here, and then worked with his head down.
"Yah! Jimin-ah!" It was a hushed yell directed at the brown-haired boy. He quickly peaked upwards at the voice since his name was rarely spoken of, let alone actually a request for his attention.
Once he lifted his head he could see one of his female co-workers popping up over the thin grey wall separating them. She had wide-eyes and flushed cheeks. Jimin was really confused since she had never spoken to him previously, and that left him unsure of what to do. All he knew in conversing was to turn into a tomato from blushing and run away before anyone noticed. Socialising wasn't really Jimin's style.
"W-What?" He asked, voice croaky since he hadn't spoken a word for the past three hours since arriving in the glassed building.
"Can you help me? I'll get you lunch if you do. Please!" She tried using food as a bribery, and even though Jimin had never really talked to anyone, he must have somehow made it obvious how much he enjoys food. Or maybe she had just made a wild guess and hoped that the small man would take the bribe.
"What do you need help with?"
She beamed at him with a smile and ducked back down to her own area. Jimin could only hear the sound of shuffling paper before she arrived next to him with a puffed face. Whatever she was struggling with had left her really confused and lost. That much was written on her pink face.
"I just... I'm not sure..." She once more became flustered and her words came out with hesitation. She was probably embarrassed from having needed help. That is what Jimin thought she was reddening over.
"Here."
He grabbed her attention, explaining slowly and carefully each step to get the result she needed. She must have been relatively new since Jimin had never noticed her during breaks. He normally went by voice, but both her appearance and voice was something unfamiliar. Jimin was falling behind on his surroundings again.
