The Tamer and the Trainer by Wild101Life and Kurayami4Ever

Chapter 1; The choice

(Note) Kimber is a Tamer and Mason is a Trainer. They are both agents on Earth and their home world is called Animator.

(Kimber's POV)

Long time ago, Earth and Animator was connected and Animals known as Spirits choose their partners. However, a war broke out between the Trainers and Tamers. The two species nearly destroy both worlds in the process.

However, when it became clear that no winner will be sighted. The two tribes decided an uneasy truth and leave Earth forever, but legends say that an Trainer and Tamer will bring the worlds together again and restore peace.

"This book is out of date," Kimber said as she read the book, the History of Animator. 

The Trainers and Tamers are originally from Earth while the other types of monsters, like Vampires and werewolves came from Animator.  The Tamers are people who can communicate with animals. The Trainers are people who can "fake" of communicating with animals. However, both can call for spirit animals. The calling of Spirit Animals is only form when a strong bond is made with a spirit.

"What'ch ya doing?" Someone said behind her. She turned to see the same dusty blonde hair that she has. 

"Why are you here in Father's study?" She asked blinking incconently. 

"I can asked you the same question." Mason said back with an evil grin.

"I wanted to study about the war." Kimber finally answered with a sigh.

Mason picked up the book and turned it over.

The thing was that Mason and Kimber were hybrids of Trainers and Tamers, which means they have both the powers of the two, and there drawbacks. Trainers are more unstable and there eyes will change color due to there emotional state. Tamers are more stable, but has the tendency to shapeshift, which sounds fun but it means you can be stuck like that.

"KIMBER! MASON!" The twins heard there father screamed for them.

Mason and Kimber looked at each other nervously. Ever since they both got their mark, their father had been talking about sending them to Earth for whatever. And today, they were schedule to leave for Earth.

Kimber rubbed her mark on her shoulder, feeling nervous. Mason patted her head like a child. "Come on, the sooner we go there then sooner we can get back."

"Yeah, I guess" Kimber said finally getting up and pushing the chair in and took the book with her.

As they exited the study then their house. There father was standing outside waiting for them. "Finally." He said. He looked worried for a second then smile. "Your 16 now and both bare the marks. I hope you guys understand that its your duty to keep order on Earth." He lecture again.

Kimber rolled her eyes. "Dad, why do the organization wants us to come? I thought Trainers don't normally want Tamers in there space?" Mason asked.

What he meant was that Trainers and Tamers still don't get along. The organization can live among the Earthlings because its mainly form of Trainers. Tamers on the other hand tend to act more animal like and can be spotted easily.

Suddenly, her spirit animal appeared. It was an small tiger cub. "Please, be careful when your animals are out" Her father warned.

"Come on Regia" I said trying to call her back but she didn't listen.

Mason laughed and summon his animal, an African Wild Dog, name Paint. "How come I have more control when your better at talking!" He joked, which was true for the most part.

Mason eyes will change depending on his mood, but also has a stronger bond with Paint. While Kimber can communicate with other animals, but is lacking a strong bond with Regia.

Father looked up at us then our animals then at us again. He signed. "Kimber, Mason, their is trouble on Earth and the council believes you two can handle it." He started.

I was confused as I believe the council hated mix-breeds between races, especially Tamers and Trainers.

Father made a gesture and two figures appeared out of the blue. Kimber and Mason knew those two well. Leo was an fairy, an air element while Barkly is an werewolf, whose is an dark element. They wave at the twins. "Agent L and Agent B will be your guides as they know how to BEHAVE themselves." Father said putting extra volume at the word behave.

"Don't worry, we'll make sure your kids don't die." Barkly said jokily while Leo looked nervous.

Father just rolled his eyes and took out an odd remote. He click the button and a long car appear, which Kimber read up on it was called a limbo on Earth. "We'll be taking the limbo until you get used to Earth." he said.

"But I can just used my lion necklace to summon a portal." Kimber said bitterly.

"Kimber if you used your portal without ever being someone first, you'll might end up in limbo!" Her father warned.

"Fine." Kimber gave up as Mason pushed her out of the way and went into the limbo. "Come on slowpoke!" He said with a laughed.

They all went in and waved goodbye to their father, home, and everything they once knew.

(Note) Next Chapter will come soon. Barkly is a dark element as well as Vampires. These elements involved with the moon. Leo is a air or "Fairy" element. Barkly is tan with curly, brown hair. Leo is white, with blonde hair. Kimber and Mason is fair skin, with brownish-blonde hair.
