Note: Kimber and Mason are on a mission to find a way to stop their marks from glowing but something is in their way.
Kimber's POV:
The day that my mark started glowing off and on, I seemed to lose energy, and things became harder to do. I needed help calling Tigris and Falco in and out of my mark, I had trouble with remembering my mission to stop the leak of illegals elements coming to Earth. And worst of all I had some Earth test about their history, to remember.
As I laid on my bed, I groaned placing my head into my hands. Barkly had left for the barn about an hour ago, while I lay in my room, wishing for the moon to rise and give into darkness.
Sleeping while the sun is up isn't an option. It makes me feel like i'm not doing anything productive.
So I sat up and threw the light blue covers off me.Looking around, I noticed the window was open. Mason came into the room just as I got up to head over to the window.
His dark brown hair was all neat and groomed while my dark red hair was a tangled mess.
"Hey," He said monotone-less. "Do you want to trained and do something. Or sit around and act like a pile of makeshift blankets?"
I gave a weak smile and nodded. "Fineeee, but I got a better idea."
He gave me a looked that said "Oh not that." Which in return made my smile grow.
"Come on!" I grab his arm and raced downstairs. Strangely no one was inside the house besides Niemph's black Lab, Rocky. Her eyes seemed confused about me being up and began to stand up as she wagged her tail to greet us.
"Sorry Rock, can't bring you." I said but as I turned to open the door for her and for Mason, I heard something.
"And why can't I come?"
I whirled around and saw Mason staring down at Rocky. He met my eyes and said "You heard that too right?"
I bent down to the canine's level and she began to lick my face while Mason stood gawking at her.
"Rocky did you just speak?" I asked, a little shaken about what the answer will be.
"Yes, you could understand me before, so what's the problem?" The black dog tilted her head sideways with a wondering look.
"It's great and all that was can understand you. But we really shouldn't, I mean not unless we have a bound. Which I don't think we do." Mason said in a with a bored and curious voice. Mason bent down to pet Rocky as she licked his face. Not finding the dog's saliva all that irritating because of Canis.
"I don't understand, our animals are in our mark, how can we understand her? I can only understand felines and falcons if Tigris and Falco are out." I told Mason, still puzzle.
"Same with Canines, but Canis is actually with Barkly at the moment, so he's too far away for me to understand any dogs." Mason said his eyes screened the area for any sign of Canis.
'Weird, I thought Canis was in his mark, but his trainer mark still shows. I guess Lily could be still in his mark. Hmm, I thought only a mark shows when a creature is in you but when one is out and another is in....' My thought was interrupted because I then noticed that half of Mason's mark is gone meaning only half of his animals our out.
I stood up and Mason did the same. "We need to get to the home library." I noted to Mason. He gave me one of his famous, "and why should we?" look.
"But Aunt Sophie and Uncle Kakshi said they don't have underground libraries. Or know any library that has information about us." He always worried about things like this. I looked back at my mark, it stop glowing for the moment.
