{Let it go}

“Ugh! Why did she have to run all the way to the top of the mountains?” Jack complained as he trudged up the snowy path. His feet were killing him as he took a slow step up, curse his slowness.

“Stop whining if we don’t hurry we will lose sight of her,” Periwinkle hissed as she flew high to keep track of the Queen. It seemed that she was finally releasing her powers and embracing her true nature. “All you have to do is get close to her so you can consume more of her powers,” she continued to speak as Jack struggled to walk.

Even he could tell the energy he gained when he danced with Elsa were appearing, his brown hair replaced by thin lines of ivory. The cold around him, felt as if it was sunlight and he couldn’t help but squirm in happiness as small snowflakes fell from his fingertips at will.

“What happens after I steal all of her powers?” Jack asked trying to lessen the pain on his legs.

“Well…I assume she will become a mortal,” Periwinkle answered with a shrug of her shoulders. “As long as you get your ability back I will stay by your side.”

“Nice to know, anyways you wouldn’t happen to know how I came to lose my own power?” He was curious and needed to know the reason, in case it happened again. At the moment Periwinkle opened her lips to speak he paused in his tracks and gaped at the bridge Elsa built.

Her voice invaded his ears as she sang enthusiastically and spread her arms to form the ice at her wake. Periwinkle furrowed her eyebrows and started to poke his cheek, trying to gain his attention. “Jack stop it!”

Jack shook his head and smiled cheekily at Periwinkle, “What?”

“You know what, stop looking at her with that goofy daze,” she clarified as she began to follow Elsa. She maintained a low profile as she stalked the Queen in her rampage of freedom. “I don’t want you to quit just because you think she is lovely,” Periwinkle huffed in annoyance her cheeks becoming rosy.

Jack smiled and shook his head lightly, “Even if I think she is cute doesn’t mean I will stop the task.”

“Now come on we have to hurry, and catch her when she is off guard,” Jack gave her a wink before continuing to venture further to where Elsa was building her castle with her movements.

He took a step up the glassy stairs and almost lost his balance, his hands grabbed onto the sides for support. “Don’t look down if you want to die young,” Periwinkle advised with a sly giggle. Jack swallowed nervously and began to climb his determination managed to let him arrive on ground.

It was a great feeling that washed over her slim body, the cold nipping at her skin and the frost enveloping her body in a dress of sapphire. Tiny snowflakes fell from the ceiling and she smiled as she touched the frozen walls.

Never had she known how precious distance made her feel safe and free, so alive that she wanted to twirl around and sing at the top of her lungs. Elsa wished it would continue forever this bliss that brought butterflies fluttering inside of her stomach.

“I’m happy you are enjoying the freedom,” the boyish voice made her snap her attention toward him. But her eyes did not meet the boy with azure eyes; no she couldn’t find the owner of that soothing voice. She shook her head brushing it off as an illusion and turned her back to her imagination.

“What’s wrong Elsa? Don’t you believe in me?” Elsa paused and felt her breath escape her; she turned and widened her eyes at the teenage boy standing at the end of her stairs.

“Jack…” her voice trailed off as she saw the boy that broke their promise, the boy she loved with all her heart, and the boy she came to forget by force. In a flash all her memories crashed inside of her and all the welled up emotions formed a thick cloud of swirling hatred. “Get out of my sight,” she hissed her hands tightening into fists.

He smirked at her anger and in a split second he disappeared from her vision, she looked around her surroundings and then felt a dark chuckle behind her. Without warning she brought a sharp ice to extend and aim for his body. Jack flew away from the weapon and smirked.

“Are you really going to hurt me, Princess?” He asked avoiding the thick shards of ice in his direction. She responded with a hard glare and raised her fingers bringing the shards upward to where he was floating.

“Why won’t you leave me alone?!” He vanished from her vision and she tightened her teeth in anger. She wanted to prove she could live without anyone…but his mere existence bothered her. After all those years of pain and misery did he really think he can waltz in here with that…cute smirk?

“Chill Elsa, I don’t want you to hurt yourself,” he whispered into her ear, his arms coming around her waist and his chest pressing against her back. Her heart leaped and her body froze at his cold touch. “Please don’t stay mad at me, cant we go back to the old times?”

Elsa could not answer she was too busy trying to comprehend his words, to understand why she was so weak at his touch and soft voice. She despised the feelings that swirled inside of her, and the decision she was about to make.

Jack paused by the wide cold doors and wondered what all the madness inside was. He wanted to see that Cool Queen smile bashfully or at least converse with her she seemed like a nice woman.

“I wonder what in heaven’s name is happening in there,” Periwinkle mumbled as she flew above the door to a nearby window to peek inside. As she went in to investigate Jack heaved a sigh of tiredness and leaned against the hard doors.

He was surprised that Queen Elsa could create such a magnificent grand castle within a short period of time, she was indeed brilliant. The details and patterns were so perfect and symmetrical that he gaped at the master piece.

“This chick is really something,” he muttered under his breath.

“Jack!” Periwinkle yelled as she returned out of breath, she flew right against his chest and he caught her before she fell on the sheet of snow. “Oh it’s terrible Jack!” She stammered in his hand, her small stature brushing against his fingers.

“What is it?” He probed with raised eyebrows, she sounded so upset and confused.
