{Cold Weather}

            “Is that all you got Queen Elsa?” Pitch Black teased as he broke her shards of ice with a wave of his dark staff. He tilted his head to the side and grinned at the exhausted Queen that was desperately trying to defeat him. Such a silly girl, she should know her place.

            “I will not lose to you!” She screamed her chest heaving as she struggled to stand straight, but her legs trembled along with her tingling arms. Her power was not enough to defeat Pitch, and she knew it. But that is not an excuse to back down and let herself die so easily without putting up a fight.

            “Elsa!” Her head snapped to the shrill yell and her eyes widened when they met her sister’s shocked expression. Elsa’s heart thundered against her chest, and she glanced at Pitch whose attention was focused on Anna.

            “No Anna! Run! Leave, get out of here!” Elsa yelled with dread laced in her tone, but in a swift second Pitch had released a shower of darkness toward her sister. Without thinking she raised her hand and a thick ice wall protected Anna from the attack.

            “Looks like we have company, my Queen,” Pitch chuckled as he floated off the floor and flew toward Anna. Elsa was afraid he would harm her dear sister, just as he had done to Jack.

            “Stay away from her!” Without control a ring of energy blasted out of her body, and everything around her froze at its light wave, including Anna. Pitch fell onto the floor, his lower body covered in a hard layer of ice. “Anna?”

            Her sister’s knees buckled and she fell forward with her hands on her chest, her breathing came out labored. Elsa gasped and was about to take a step forward but paused when a snowman and a man came in the room. “Anna? Are you alright?”

            Anna looked up to her sister and nodded, “I’m fine.”

            Elsa was puzzled for a moment and asked who the man was, but then dismissed the curiosity and told them to leave. It wasn’t safe for them to stay here, “Leave, please you need to get out of here!”

            Anna shook her head and raised her head, as the stranger helped her up. “I won’t leave without you Elsa, can’t you see this is dangerous!”

            Elsa huffed in frustration and with trembling hands summoned a snow monster, “You will leave Anna…for your own safety.”

            A broad white light blinded Jack as he stood up and raised his hand up to cover his weak eyes. The atmosphere was serene and silent; all around him floated soft clouds traveling in a slow speed. The ground was plump and he enjoyed the softness against his clothes.

            “Where am I?” He asked aloud as he looked at the endless ground and stood up with raised eyebrows. This place was odd and too nice for his comfort, there was no sign of life miles away.

            Jack took a step forward and found himself falling down a hole, everything seemed slow as he fell down the dark depth, it seemed endless and he pondered when he would end at the bottom.

            But his thoughts were interrupted by white shadows that circled around him, their pale hands reaching for him, with a low moan emerging from their lips. He yelped and tried to put as much distance between them, his eyes widened when he realized their hands passed right through him. Like if he wasn’t real…
