Chapter 6: Dry Deserts

(??? POV)

Good, he’s finally asleep. It won’t be long now until the news has a story on it. I have to move him out of state.

(Joey POV)

I have a horrible headache. Where am I? I look to my right and see desert. Arizona?

???: Oh goody! You’re awake.

Joey: Luke? Where are we? Why am I not with Shane?

Luke: For all I care, Shane could be dead.

Joey: What the fuck? Pull over. I want to go back.

Luke: That’s going to be a problem.

Joey: Is it now.

Suddenly Luke stabs me. No. It’s a needle. Shit. I feel woozy. Dudeeee! Is that Geoffrey again?

Joey: Hey Geoffrey!

Geoffrey: Woah! Joey! How’s it been?

Luke: Who the fuck are you talking to?

Joey: Shut up Luke, I’m talking to Geoffrey. Anyways, it’s been wonderful! I feel so warm inside. But I miss Shane!

Geoffrey: Go to him!

Joey: Luke says I can’t.

Luke: Shane is too busy. Maybe someday.

Joey: How long will that beeeeee?

Luke: A long time.

Joey: How long is a long time?

Luke: SHUT UP. You’re like a fucking baby!

Joey: I WANT SHANE. NOW!

(Luke POV)

I hit him on the head with a bottle. Thank you lord.

(Shane POV)

Investigator: How do you know Mr. Graceffa?

Shane: Uh.. He’s my boyfriend.

I feel so awkward saying that. But it feels good.

Investigator: When’s the last time you saw him?

Shane: At the restaurant.

Investigator: And you said that he was just going to the restroom?

Shane: Yes.

He asks me a few more questions. I leave shortly after. I can’t help but cry. We just started dating… and he’s gone… why…

(Sawyer POV)

Sawyer: What have you done to Joey!

Lisa: What? How did you get in here?

Sawyer: I know you took him!

Lisa: Joey? He’s been kidnapped?!

I look into her eyes. I see shock. It wasn’t her.

Sawyer: Yeah… We don’t know who. I know now that it wasn’t you. That’s a start… Right?

Lisa: I’m so sorry! Where’s Shane?

Sawyer: Last time I saw him was at home before he left to go to the Police Station.

Lisa: Poor Shane…
