Chapter 5

McKenna's POV:

I woke up to the sun shining in my eyes. It was morning, how could I sleep that long. I guess I was so worn out that I slept for a whole day.

I thought back at what happened yesterday. What could've made that growling sound. Maybe I was hearing things, maybe I was crazy or even paranoid about the attack.

I honestly didn't want to face the others since of what happened yesterday. Im afraid that they will make fun of me.

I decided to go and take a warm hot shower to take the tension away. I was so stressed over things that all I wanted to do was cry.

I gathered some clothes that Jessica brought me yesterday when we met because I have yet went to go but any since I freaked yesterday.

I walked in the bathroom and took my clothes off. I got in the shower and just stood there. Again I started thinking about my dad. It was almost my birthday and he won't be able to spend it with me. I started to let the tears fall. I know what your thinking, I'm a big girl but I keep crying over little things over and over but you try not to cry when your own father died by something you can't explain, and you already have no mom, so basically you have no family left to go to. I don't know these people and I feel so alone.

I washed my hair and body then got out to dry off.i put my bra and underwear on and also I put some jean shorts on and a crop top along with my converse. I didn't bother to put make up on. Because for one I'm planning to stay in my room. And two I don't really have any make up.

I started to look around my room because I didn't get to yesterday. I found some books on a shelf, I found one called the lost boy. It looked like a good book so I took it off the shel and walked over to the window where it had a seat on it. I went and sat down and started to read.

Kaydon's POV:

It's been hours since I seen McKenna. Yesterday I checked on her a few times to make sure she's alright. But every time I looked in her room, she was still sleeping. I guess she was really worn out over the time she was in the hospital. So this morning I walked up to her room to check on her again. I was starting to get worried about her.

I knocked on the door softly. But no answer, so I knocked again but a little louder. Still no answer. I then decided to open the door. When I did, she wasn't on the bed sleeping. I heard the shower on, an figured that she was taking a shower. But with my high sensitive hearing. I could of sworn I heard her crying, I shook off the erg to go in and comfort her. It hurt me so bad to hear her cry, and I can't do anything to assure she's okay. I wanted to let her warm up to me with me pushing it.

I also was thinking on a way to tell her I'm a werewolf without freaking her out. I know I'm going to terrify her because she was attacked by a rogue. But I need her to warm up to me before I tell her my darkest secret.

I sighed and walked back out of her room and towards the backyard. When I walked into the backyard I spotted Dylan, Tristan, and Andrew playing a game of football. When they spotted me they stopped almost immediately. They walked towards where I was standing.

"Did you see is McKenna I'd doing alright or is she still sleeping?" Tristan asked worriedly.

"I went to her room and she was in the shower. I could of sworn I hear her crying. But I wasn't sure."

"You think she will accept us when she finds out where werewolves?" Dylan said

"I'm not sure. I'm sure she will come around once she finds out. But it might take time for her to recover." I said softly.

"Anyway man I'm really sorry about yesterday. I honestly didn't know." Andrew said nervously.

"It's cool man. You didn't know. Just don't let it happen again." I replied

"So. Who's up for some football?" Dylan asked with a large grin.

"Two on two?" I said

"Hell yea. I'm with kaydon." Tristan yelled

I laughed and jogged towards the yard.

Kaydon's POV:

After playing a few rounds of football. One of my guards mind linked me.

"Alpha. We have a problem!"

"Yes what is the problem?"

"Rouges!"

After he said that I shot up out if my seat and ran as fast as I could to where the rouges were with Tristan and Dylan right behind me. I mind linked Jessica.

"Jessica."

"Yeah. What's up bro"

"I need you to keep an eye on McKenna. Okay!".

"Um okay. What's wrong?"

"Rouges". When I said that I blocked the mind link and kept running.

I got to the opening of a meadow. And on the other side of it stood 5 rouges. The one who stood at the front had a smirk on his face. I let out a warning growl.

"Why are you on my territory?" I questioned through gritted teeth.

"You have something I want." was all he said in return.

"Your not strong enough to take my land so if I were you I'd leave!" I growled out.

"Dear alpha Kaydon. That's not what I want!"

"What do you want then?" I said. It was getting harder to hold back because my wolf and I highly dislike rouges.

"Now what's the fun in telling you. Huh?" He smirked again.

I growled out louder. " What the hell do you want?". I said using my alpha tone making them all the rouges including my pack members flinch.

"I do believe that you have a girl about 17 with blue eyes and brown hair. I think her name starts with an 'M'. Am I correct ?"

I stood there shocked. They wanted McKenna but why. But I can tell you this. He won't lay a damn finger on her or ill rip him to shreds.

"Actually I believe that she goes by the name McKenna ?" He said again with a smirk plastered on his face.

I let out another growl. "What do you want with her."

"Kaydon. That's not for you to know. Just hand her over and we won't have any problems."

"You won't touch her." I said loudly.

"Is the big bad alpha getting protective over a worthless human." He laughed " actually there's one and only reason why you would act like this. She's your mate" he smirked more then ever.

"Get off my land before I rip you to shreds! got it". I yelled

"Whatever. Just keep in mind. We will get her. One way or another. " he laughed again before he and his gang disappeared into the woods.

Why did they want McKenna. She was human. I promise that I will do anything to keep her out of harms way.

We walked back towards the house. I was more angrier then ever. They really think that they will hurt. Ha over my dead body will they ever lay a finger on her.
