Long day

Today had been brutal. All morning we ran and did every exercise imaginable. We also did weapons training with Aaron as well. He wanted us to brush up on  our knife throwing abilities as well as knowing how to shoot a bow and arrow. Heather was involved with archery in school and was really good at it. I on the other hand was a master at knife throwing since dad taught me when I was 8.

Paige and Aaron told us we have to keep in shape in order to fight against the evil in this world. Its never ending. Heather and I were so glad we had them to help train us to be better hunters. We finally stopped for the day around 6 pm. My muscles hurt so much. This getting in shape part sucks.

Heather and sprawled on the couch not wanting to move anymore. We both were moaning and groaning over the pain. I saw Paige and Aaron shake their heads at us and smile a little. Heather tried to throw a pillow at them but it just landed right in front of her feet. I laughed at her. Aaron walks up to us and says  "You both need a shower, you stink. "I can smell you from a mile away."

"Gee thanks Aaron, how sweet of you to tell us that you jerk." Heather says sarcastically.

"Alright,alright we're going." I say. " I think a nice bath would be better."

After I said that I noticed that Aaron's eyes seemed to glow. Never seen anything like that before. I know that he kept being a hunter from us but is he   hiding something else?

The nice hot bath with soothing essential oils seemed to relax
our bodies.

We sat down with Paige and Aaron to have dinner. Paige had cooked some chicken stir fry with rice.

"I want you two to stick to your new diet, I want you to eat lean meat, rice and veggies." "Fruit is good as well for the vitamins and nutrients." "Stay away from junk food of any kind. "You don't need the saturated fat." "No sodas either." Paige says.

"Can we still drink coffee and sweet tea." Heather asks.

"Yes in only moderation." Paige says.

"Yes!" Heather says.

"What about alcohol?" Dana asks.
"That would be a big fat No." Aaron sternly says. "You don't want to blur your judgement of a hunt with alcohol do you? Aaron says.

Thinking about it for a moment we both say "No."

"Ok then" he says. " Now after dinner you both need to march upstairs and go to bed. " We have a long week of training ahead us." Aaron says.

"What are we 5? Heather says. I laugh at her comment. Paige and Aaron not so much.

"Ok, but who's going to clean up? I ask.

"We will and lock up after". Paige says.  Aaron and Paige say "Goodnight".  We say our goodnights to them and with that heather and I take our plates to the sink, wash and rinse them and put them in the dish strainer. We head upstairs slowly as our legs felt like jello.

Paige said that will only get worse before it gets better as we have to build up the muscles in our legs. As we reached the top of the stairs we both say "Goodnight". Heather and I hug and head off in the direction of our rooms.

I start tossing and turning in my sleep and with a quick jolt I wake up. I look at the clock and its way after midnight. I see movement out of the corner of my eye. It makes the goosebumps on my arms prickle at the feeling of someone being in here.

I know Paige said her and Aaron would lock up after they left but why is their movement in my room? I kept my dagger next to my bedside drawer and I grab it waiting for movement to strike at whatever or whoever it is. Just as I saw it again I jump off the bed towards it. I hear someone say "Wait!" I'm shocked by the voice. I stop in my tracks. The person turns on my lamp by my chair and I stare into blue green eyes.

"What the hell, Aaron?! I say.

"Shhh keep it down you will wake heather". He says.

"What are you doing here?, I thought you left with Paige?" I ask.

" I couldn't leave you alone again"he says. " I felt so bad for leaving you before. After learning about your dads death it really took a toll on me" .I needed time to think." "Your dad was my best friend". I was on a hunt when Lucy called me and told me the news. I was shocked. That's why I wasn't there at the funeral. I also got a letter from your dad. I was told to help put your mom in hiding for now." Aaron says.
