Chapter 7

*Saturday, *AKA; my birthday*

I'm in my room, face timing Laurel.

"So, birthday girl, what're your plans for today?" Laurel asks me, through face time.

"Yeah, the family's going out today to Subway  "

"Cool. Well, I got to go. Enjoy your birthday."

"Bye, thanks. See you Monday."

I end the call and sigh, thinking about yesterday.

*Robert's POV*

"Dude, I can't help feeling guilty of yesterday," I say, face timing Will.

"Bro, you did what you had. Besides, today is her birthday, don't tell her...today, atleast."

"Then, when should I tell her?"

"Never. You're in a good position now, don't do anything."

"Will, I can't keep the truth from Sara. That's gonna hurt her even more."

"Well, you've got a point."

"What's your plan for today?"

"I'm going to Subway today."

"Well, have fun. I got to go, I have to finish the final draft for 'the demon''s class."

"Well, see ya."

I end the call, thinking of what to do. I'm gonna tell Sara the truth.

*Sara's POV* *Subway time*

"Ready, honey?" Mom shouted.

"Yeah, coming," I shout back, while finishing a conversation with Emma.

I go downstairs, seeing everyone, ready. I put on my boots, I got from Aunt Tiffany.

"Let's go."

"Sit in the car, I'll be there in a minute."

My mom, brother, and I wait outside and open the car and sit.

Dad finally comes the car and signals my mom to sit in the front.

"Sara, you get to order the sandwich toppings."

"Okay, sure."

*A few minute later*

"We're here."

We get out of the car, and walk in to see the restaurant empty, except one family.

That family, they look familiar.

I pick a table close to the family, to see find out if I know them or not.

A few minutes later, my dad and brother come with my favorite sub and lemonade.

"Thanks, guys! This is the best dinner ever!"

"Your welcome."

I walk over to get napkins, to get a closer look at the family. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, but they weren't. It was...him.

"Hi, Robert," I say awkwardly.

"Hey," Robert replies slowly.

"Robbie, who's this girl?" His mom asks curiously.

"Umm, this is Sara, she's from school."

"Well, nice to meet you, Sara. I'm Robert's Mom, Ruby."

"Well, nice to meet you, Ruby. Where's your dad?"

"Uh, he's in Michigan," Robert says sadly.

"Oh, sorry."

"It's alright."

"Robert, I need to talk to you...outside."

"What about your family?"

"Oh yeah..."

"Don't worry, I'll talk to them," Ruby chimes in.

"Thanks, Ruby."

"Thanks, Mom."

"Your welcome, children."

Robert and I walk outside.

"Robert, about the gift...--"

"Sara, the truth is... I never gave you that gift..."

"I knew it! It was Diana and Ava!"

"Yeah.. Sorry--"

"Hey, Robert," a nearby voice exclaimed.

"Rita?"

"Yeah, that's me. About that day... I thought about it, and I have feelings for you too."

"Umm..."

I walk away...

"Sara, wait!"

I ignore him and I keep walking.

"Sara, please!"

"This is what you wanted right?"

Robert goes silent.

I walk inside and I munch on the sub and signal my dad, that I wanted to leave.

*The next day*

"How was Subway?"

"It was..."

"Did...?"

I nod.

"Oh, Sara, I'm so sorry."

"Yeah, I know. I just hope word doesn't get around."

"I doubt that."

*Science Class*

"So how was your birthday?" Ava, Diana and Emma chorused.

"It was...interesting.."

"Details," Diana enthusiastically giggled.

"Robert was there..."

"Oh."

"So was Rita."

"Oh gosh."

"Yeah, it was the worst."

"well, speaking of Robert, he's coming our way...," Ava informed us.

"Hey, Sara. About yesterday....I'm sorry..."

"What're you talking about?"

"Rita confessing?"

"Yeah, that. Don't remind me, it was the worst part of my birthday."

"It was your birthday...? Well, happy belated birthday...."

"Forgot it. I hope your happy with Rita."

"Sara..."

I walk away and sit in the corner tables.

"What's wrong?" Diana pleaded.

"Rita confessed her 'feelings' for Robert."

"Oh no, the drama's piling up."

"I know right, it's so frustrating!"

"What're you going to do now?"

"Avoid him, duh."

*Robert's POV*

I don't know what's wrong.. I like Rita. But for some reason, when Rita confessed, I didn't feel it. Is it possible for me to like Sara and Rita? This is ending up as a huge love triangle. Time to go to Will.
