I run out the door, trying to get ahold of Sara. But she wouldn't answer my texts, calls, or fts. She must be at karaoke night, Denny's.
I call my mom, to take me to Denny's.
"Mom, Denny's pronto!"
"Okay, on it," I order, in a polite way.
*Sara's POV*
I sit down at corner table, at Denny's, waiting for my order, chicken nuggets and a sandwich. I still can't believe that Robert did that, I thought he cared! No I realize that I was wrong.
"Sara!" A voice calls out, from behind. It was Ava. "Come back to the party!"
"There is no party. It's over."
"No, everyone--myself included--has waited for 'Robara' way too long." Ava informs," He made a mistake, but I think he was trying to protect you, in my opinion, I think you should talk to him."
"There is nothing to talk about. It's over, I'm never talking to him again," I confirm.
"Sure, let's see how long you can last."
*Door bells jingles*
I peer under a chair. Robert and his mom.
"Aww, your prince is here."
"Shut up! Don't you see, I'm trying to hide."
"Robert," Ava calls over," she's over here."
"Thanks a lot, Ava," I sarcastically moan.
His mom steps away, to the front desk.
"Look, Sara, I know you're mad, and you have every right to be. Just hear me out--"
I walk away, trying to ignore him as best as I can.
*Robert's POV*
I had to think of a way to get Sara to listen. And quick. She's about to leave. So I remember the day, she told me about the gift. That's it! I'll sing for her.
I hop up on 'stage', and I quickly grab the microphone.
"Hello, everybody. I know this is a little last minute, and all, but I'd like the dedicate this to someone really special," I burst.
Sara pauses and turns around.
The room fills with dead silence.
I grab the acoustic guitar nearby and start strumming the chords to 'Treat You Better'.
I won't lie to you
I know he's just not right for you
And you can tell me if I'm off
But I see it on your face
When you say that he's the one that you want
And you're spending all your time
In this wrong situation
And anytime you want it to stop
I know I can treat you better than he can
And any girl like you deserves a gentleman
Tell me why are we wasting time
On all your wasted crying
When you should be with me instead
I know I can treat you better
Better than he can
