the party: michael and catherine // "No one has their entire life together at seventeen, Cat."
"Is there something in my teeth?" Sarah widened her mouth and stuck her face right in front of Catherine's putting all of her pearly whites on full display.
"For the millionth time, no!" Catherine exclaimed to her as her and her two other friends turned around the corner to the Wesley Hall's backdoor, tall flight of stairs.
The thumping from the dorm party could be heard from 3 floors down and the girls knew that somehow, these foreign idiots had pulled this scheme off.
"Ok, but what about my breath? I ate like 7 altoids back at the room and washed with Listerine before we left a couple times do you think that's enou--"
"Sarah, oh my god, could you please calm down? Jesus Christ, you look and smell fine and Luke will be wanting sticking his dick in you by the end of the night. Now take that stick out of your ass, will ya?" Courtney patted her friends back, slung her head back while taking a long sip from her flask and stumbled up the long flight of stairs. Her words were already slurring and whatever disgusting combination of Takka and Malibu she had concocted her in her giant oversized flask was definitely getting to her.
"Ugh, you're right," Sarah pouted and sighed, "I just...I want this to be perfect, you know?"
Sarah had spent hours getting ready. Curled hair and meticulously done makeup, she wanted this to be a night for the books; she wanted it to be something to remember. And, according to Sarah, one thing going wrong could be detrimental to the future she hoped she might have with Luke.
"It's gonna be Sarah. He obviously wants you here so what more could you ask for?" Catherine chimed in.
Sarah looked down at her feet and the girls made their way up the stairs in silence. She was worried about so many things, more than she had even vocalized to her friends, more than she could even put into concrete words.
After climbing up what felt like miles, they reached the hallway that held blessed room 118 which was already covered in trash, couples making out, and crumpled red cups.
"Fuck, if the hall is already like this can you imagine what it's like in there." Catherine said kicking piles of cups out of their way so they could simply walk down the hall.
"They must have really paid off the RA well this time." Courtney screamed and chugged down more of her drink.
Paying off the floors RA was the only way to make parties work at NCA. It was sort of a hidden secret. Paying off the Room Advisor with a hearty chunk of cash was a green light for a party to go into full force. Since most of the RAs were NCA alumni or young wash up college students, it was almost so easy to make it work. Only certain floors had total bitches for RAs, like the girls' Sylvia.
"If we were to pull this shit Sylvz would personally set us all on fire." Courtney said, shoving a couple out of her way sloppily.
"We would never be pulling ANY of this because I couldn't risk that. Do you even know how risky it is that I am here?" Catherine said dramatically with a snarky tone. She rarely ever came to dorm parties with the girls. Though they rarely ever got busted if executed right, her fear of getting in trouble and getting her title revoked overruled all desire to go get hammered and have fun. That and she could barely handle Court when she got drunk. . .which was every weekend.
"Yeah, yeah. We know. 'I am in position of leadership.' Blah, blah, blah. We've heard it Cat." Courtney said nearly tripping in her heels.
"Oh, I don't think it's just that. You came for your library boy, didn't you?" Sarah exclaimed.
