I feel the car stop and idle. I have no clue exactly where we are, but I can still hear the cars honk and zoom by as we started driving down the road again. Tom decided it was best and more of a surprise to put a blind fold on me as soon as we got into his car.
I was very skeptical about it, until he told me that if I felt worried or anything at all, then I could take the blind off. Of course he made me promise to keep it on.
I did love this romantic side of him, but I still wasn't sure what to make of everything. I just wanted to let myself go and be with him, but I also wanted to keep my walls up, just until I knew that he meant every word he has told me.
We finally came to a complete stop and I felt him shut the car off. As I sat there I could hear his heaving breathing and feel his gaze on me, it made me a little anxious just waiting and listening.
"Is everything ok?" I asked him.
"Oh yes, sorry, everything's fine. I-I'm just... a little nervous. This is the first time I've took anyone out hear and well...." He says stuttering as he trails off.
"So, we are here? Tom everything will be fine, I promise. If your worried that maybe I...." I try to ease his thoughts, but he cuts me off.
"No Leah I'm not nervous, because I think you'll never speak to me again or you'll never want to see me again. I'm nervous, because I look at you and I know that I'm going to have something special and great with you. Your the first person I've ever brought out here and there's a good reason for that, if your lucky I'll tell you why in time. I just hope you love it."
I feel him move and shift to get out of the car. He did it so quickly that I didn't even get the chance to reply. I sat there waiting for him to open up my door, but it seems like it's taking him forever.
I'm about to go ahead and take off the blind fold, until I feel the car door swing open making me jump.
He helps me out of the car, making sure not to hit my head. He puts one of my hands on the side of the car telling me, "Stay right there, I need to grab something from the trunk."
"Ok." Is all I can think of to say as I start to feel a little more excited and nervous now, than how I felt just a moment ago.
I feel his hand on my lower back as he aproaches me and whispers in my ear, "You look sexy in that blind fold. I can't wait to use it on you later."
I feel my heart beat go haywire and my knees weaken at the anticipation of what's to come as he kisses my ear and leads me onto what feels like grass. From what he showed me last night I can only imagine what he may have planned.
"There are six steps to climb in front of us, ok." He tells me as he stops me from walking.
"Ok, just don't let me fall please." I hear him chuckle at this simple request.
"I promise, I wont let you fall Leah."
We climb the stairs slowly making sure I don't trip. As we take the last step I feel him lead me to the right and hear him say, "It's just a bit further and then I'll take the blind fold off."
I just knod my head in understanding and then realize he may not be looking at my face, but watching out where we are stepping.
"Ok." I say quickly, hoping he doesn't realize my mistake.
We stop abruptly as he tells me, "Stay right there."
I listen as I hear him shuffle around a bit. I hadn't notice before, but I haven't heard anyone else as we walked from the car to where we are now. It makes me think of how secluded this place actually is. I do however feel a slight breeze and hear a faint caw of the pelicans and a crashing of the waves on the ocean.
I feel him behind me as he asks, "Are you ready?"
I knod and feel his hands reach for the blind fold as he takes if off of my head. I stare in amazement not expecting to see a beautiful view of the ocean and the sun glowing a warm orange red color. I look to Tom and notice he is already setting on top of a blanket with a little picnic basket beside him. He looks so damn sexy with the sun hitting the side of his face accenting his perfectly sculpted jaw line and cheek bones.
He catches me staring at him and smirks, as I blush profusely and look to the ground. When I look back up I see him smiling at me and pat the other side of the blanket, to come set down beside him. I reluctantly walk over to the blanket to set down, but I look around once more before I do.
I see that there are trees on each side of us and the ocean is a few yards away from us, we are on top of a hill filled with grass and there is a medium size water fountain with three benches circling it. The glow of the sun just makes it that much more beautiful.
As I set down I notice that Tom has two wine glasses full of white wine, one in each hand, and a bowl full of strawberries setting on the blanket. I hadn't even notice that he had brought a picnic basket with him when we left my apartment.
Tom notices my confused look as he says, "Oh, I had my driver drop it off as soon as we got here. I didn't want us to starve."
I smile at him as he tells me this, knowing that's why he took a little bit opening up my door, loving the fact of how caring he is to make sure we have something to eat while we are here.
