The drow moved quickly and silently through the night. She didn't know what she was doing, running, of all actions, through a forest so close to where she had just eaten. She knew they would be after her. Maybe she even wanted them after her, or just him, the male...to put her out of her miseries...

The past two times had been the same. The first time, she had been five, and was just warming up to her pack, when the old alpha told her to hunt there, as he was a ruthless and vicious alpha.

So she went in, on her own, only a small five year old. She killed the male 's best friend, he had screamed at her as she flew away. After that, for the next four years to come, every time she was told to go to that village, she would skive off , go into the forest and find a dead or injured animal and feed from there. She hated killing..but she had to survive.

The next time, she was nine. The old alpha had died, and a new one came in, and they invaded the village as a pack. It was horrible. The blood and flesh of men, women and children everywhere. The male survived, but she had killed his brother. It was all too much. She ran away.

And this time. She was fifteen. She had to eat and since it was autumn there was no food anywhere. It was his baby sister. She barely slept for one year after because of the grief and sorrow. She wanted to die. She wanted the male to kill her for all the pain she had caused him.

She just wanted to disappear.
