Aspen's pov
This party sucked, like it has to be worst party ever thrown.
I should know because I go to pretty much every party.
I take a swing at my beer and throw it at the wall next to me. I slide a cigarette out of my pack, and look down to find my lighter, but it's nowhere in sight.
I search through all my pockets and still couldn't find it. Great. Just fucking great.Theo snaps his fingers once and I look up, he tosses his lighter. He is the one who got me into the habit so he knows exactly how it feels to get the next kick.
Theo and I are standing outside of the party house, trying to cool down from wining a little game.Theo is one my good friends that I got to know when I went to juvenile detention.
I light my cigarette and toss the lighter back at Theo who catches it in the air. I take a quick look around the house and notice a blonde at the back of the porch. I don't have look too closely to know who it is. There is only one girl in the entire school that has that type of blonde hair. Katie.
I smirk. Hm.
"Aspen, listen." A deep voice catches me slightly off guard but I don't let it show. I just slowly turn around and look at the guy standing in front of me.
Cameron, number 15, Quarter back for the football team. He is a couple inches taller than me but I can still take him.
"What do you want Cameron" I slurred out.
"Some of the guys and I were talking, and we know how much you like a good dare." he throws a thumb over his shoulder over his shoulder to where five guys on the football team are all hanging out and talking.
They nod their head in acknowledgement, and I do the same. It's a guys thing.
"What your buddies won't stop bothering you about losing to me. So what if I like a good dare. What do you guys have in mind?" I can see Theo out of my peripherial vision and the look he wears is one of disappointment. He doesn't like my dares. He says they are going to get me in serious trouble.
Cameron got closer to me and whispers, "You know Ashlyn Summers right?"
"What about her?" I can't help but laugh.
"You gotta get her to fall in love with you. And I mean, like really fall. She has to say it." He is laughing like an idiot as he explains the dare to me, he must be drunk.
"And how do you propose I do that?" I ask genuinely curious for his response. That girl barley talks to anyone and gets bullied the shit out of her. This is looking less and less like a dare and more like a Mission Impossible movie.
"This isn't rocket science dude. All you gotta do is get her to say three little words. Thats it. That shouldn't be too difficult, right? You're used to having girl fall all over you. Having them swoon at the sight of you, why should she be any different. Maybe she can change you and Sophie will forgive for doing stupid shit since she left. Unless your scared." Cameron says to and my eyes narrow. That name is my kryptonite.
"Lets make this more interesting now don't we? How about we both try to get her to fall in love with either one of us and who ever she says I love you to first wins." I immediately imply and Cameron smile. He also loves a good dare.
"Deal."he holds out his hand and I take it, shaking it once before walking away.
You're going down Fatty. Prepare to be swept off you fat little feet.
"Dude." Theo starts, but I put my hand up to stop him. I need to be in the zone. Full on focus. No distraction. I need a game plan.
Her heart will be mine.
