"Ugh!" I grumbled and slammed the front door shut behind me. I scowl tossing my muddy shoes off as I hug myself, running up the stairs.Just then I realized I was still wearing his jacket. Well, damn. When Aspen makes an impact in your life, he just doesn't leave in the snap of fingers. He leaves his traces, trying to seem unforgettable, doesn't he? I shake my head in an annoyed manner, tugging off the skinny jacket quickly, tossing it to the ground, but not before I got a quick whiff of the mint sent that the jacket smelled of.
I fall onto my bed, suddenly feeling exhausted, and stressed. And yet, I still have three homework assignments to do, and two projects. I lay on my bed for a minute, wanting to doze off, but thought better of it and shuffled to my feet falling onto my black chair.
I spin in a circle, feeling peaceful as I quickly grab my history book and drop it on my desk. "Page seventy two..." I read off my planner as I lick my fingers, turning the page in my text book.
I was so concentrated with my work I didn't even hear a ringing sound till about ten minutes later. Startled, I looked up and glance around my room, not understanding why anything would be ringing.
I was trying to ignore it but the ringing just kept going and got even louder. I groan in frustration, fuming as I stumble to my feet, looking around frantically for the annoying contraption.
The ringing noise came from Aspen's leather jackets' pocket. Confused, but still angry, I grab it and end up pulling out a phone. I stare at it, for about few minutes. I didn't snap out of my daze till it started ringing. Aspen had stuffed it in his pocket earlier...hm.
I slide answer on the phone pressing it to my ear. "What?" I snap rolling my eyes in irritation.
"For fucks sake, what took you so long?" A voice grumbled back into the phone making me flinch. The one and only, Aspen.
"Oh, it's you" I sigh loudly, trying to make sure he got the message that I was still irritated at him.
"Cut the chat, I need you to give me my phone back today at the latest." He demands. I could hear his breathing across the phone, heavy short breaths like he was running out of patience.
Little impatient son of a b-
"Why should I have to return it? You can just come and get it, Im busy." I huff, but then stop and freeze realizing I just asked him to come to my house...shit.
Maybe I could leave it on the door step? Hm,yeah, I could do that.
I don't hear a response on the phone so I speak his name once again.
"Aspen?"
"Yeah?" He mumbles, but the lines goes silent again. "I'm coming in five." He suddenly declares and ends the call making me shrug and toss the phone on top of his jacket.
I stare at it for a moment before picking it up again and trudging down the stairs. I kick open my door with my foot and walk outside, the wind hitting me harshly. I glance around to see it was raining. I gaze down at the mat to see it wet. If I let his phone and jacket out here they might get dingy and wet... that would be mean.
My head snaps up as I see a car pull up into the driveway, Aspen's fancy car. He quickly gets out from the car, seeming more dressed up for some date or something, sun glasses set on the bridge of his nose making him look even cooler, he was wearing a clean white shirt with black jeans. He jogs up the stairs. and stops, right in front of me. I look down at my bare feet, not wanting to meet his eyes.
"Hi..." He greets quietly, making me glance up and shove his stuff into his arms.
"Thanks" he bites his lips that were in a straight line, dry with emotion as he tugs the jacket into his side of his arm and turns around, about to leave.
