Chapter 30 :

"Bye Jocelyn!" I shout from the doorway as I exit her house into the evening sunset.

I stand there looking at how the blue sky is now in gorgeous pinks and yellows making the buildings in the distance illuminate. Mentally I debate wether or not I should go seek out Aiden Parr for help. Last time I saw him he wasn't exactly friendly.

I remember he had his hands gripping my shoulders in a desperate attempt to get into my brain. Then he left me bleeding alone in an old bathroom stall. I shiver at the thought.

I pull my army patterned jacket closer to hug my small body as I slowly leave Jocelyn's property. "I have no idea where he lives," I whisper to myself. I keep my feet moving with no real destination in my mind.

"I'll show you," magically, Sebastian's silhouette appears in front of me. He has his hood on so his bright silver hair is reflecting into my eyes.

I keep quiet as I slowly follow his figure. I make no intention of conversation. To the people scurrying New York, they can't see Sebastian. They'll think I'm talking to myself and that I'm crazy.

Sebastian keeps retreating deeper into the city until we come to a large and wealthy looking building. "It's luxurious," his words leave an echo as his body begins to fade away.

I push the heavy metal doors open and I'm instantly greeted by a door man who looks to be in his early twenties. "Awh, Brella Ritcher?"

I furrow my eyebrows in confusion as I stare up at the mans blue eyes. "Were you expecting me or something?"

The man chuckles who I now see has the name tag of Zac. Then his blue eyes look at me and it's pupils spilt into a cats iris, the blue bow replaced by yellow.

I nod my head slowly. "Gotcha, you're a warlock?"

Zac nods then leads us toward his desk with fancy technology. "Who are you here to see?"

I bite my lip and slowly swallow back any fear that's boiling in the pit of my stomach. "Aiden Parr."

If Zac is confused by my words, he definitely doesn't show it. "Very top floor, 162. I'll let him know you're coming up."

I give him a small smile before making a bee line toward the elevator. The buttons go all the way up to floor 60. When I exit the elevator, I'm instantly thrown into a long and expensive looking hallway.

The walls are maroon colored and has paintings on either side. The floor is a light tan color that ties up a whole cozy vibe. I inhale as I stand in front of the door labeled 162.

The door swings open and I'm standing face to face with Aiden Parr. His dirty blonde locks indicate that he has just showered and his golden eyes are starring right at me. "You rushed it baby girl," then he opens the door wider for me to enter.

"Rushed what?" I look at the bay window with the stars and lights shining inside his well lit home. His white and black furniture and glass and marbled tables are clearly very expensive.

"Everything," he flops down on a black chair.

I stay standing with my arms crossed over my chest. "I need your-"

"Help? I know."

I bite my bottom lip as a nervous habit now and say "How? How to you seem to know everything?"

Aiden chuckles and it sends goosebumps down my arms. "I don't know everything, sweetheart, but I do know a lot of things," he pauses to study my nervous hazel eyes. "And, you're not the only one who can talk to Mr. Silver-Haired Badass."
