When i look at Kayla's face, there are tears in her eyes. She leaves the bathroom, slamming the door closed behind her. I pull the top and shorts back on and follow her into the office-library. Kayla is whispering fiercly to Andrew. I sit back on the sofa and Cole drapes his arm around my waist. Silent comfort.

"Right, well, you are to stay with the pack for a few days until we can sort something better for you, you can stay with Cole" Andrew tells me, glancing again at my wrists.

"Thank you" i mumble before following Cole out of the room. Once back in his room, i feel a little awkward. "Do you want to sleep in the bed tonight? I ask, offering it to him, he looks as if he could do with a good nights sleep.

"No, you take it, I don't mind" he tells me, then lies on the sofa. I flick the light off and crawl onto the bed, wrapping the covers around me. I glance towards Cole's direction and i catch him watching me, his eyes glistening in the darkness.

I pull at the ropes, but they're too tight. Fear grips me, forcing me to try and get away every few seconds. I pull again, they don't give, and the metal loops on the wall don't even wiggle. I push my feet against the wall, still nothing. Footsteps echo towards me. I pull again, desperate. Growling fills my ears, he's behind me. He grabs my hair, pulling my head back and smelling my neck.

"Jackson, please..." i shut up at his sneer, he releases my hair.

"What happened" he asks, watching me.

"I don't know, i blacked out, I've told you all i know" i cry, but he doesn't listen.

"Tell me, what happened" he demands, his alpha tone snaps at me.

"I can't..." pain rips through my back and i scream, unable to hold it in.

"WHAT HAPPENED!" he shouts, losing his temper. I don't answer, there's nothing i can say. Pain runs through my back again, i scream...

I fall off the bed, hitting the floor hard with a scream filling my ears. A warm hand rests on my shoulder lightly. Tears stream down my face, i must look like a fool. He picks me up and climbs back into the bed, hugging me to him. I lay there, letting him hug me to his chest as i cry.

I wake slowly, my eyes heavy. Tingles run down my arms, warmth spreading through my body. I lift my arm slowly and sit up. Cole's arm tightens around my waist, pulling me close. I can feel the blood rushing to my cheeks. I try shuffling away from him again, but he has a firm grip. "Stop it" he grumbles, a smile on his face.

"You need to let me go" i mumble, pulling on his arm. He looks at me with one eye, confusion on his face. "Please..." i whisper, desperate. He sits up, releasing me. I crawl out of the bed and to the sofa, sitting down heavily, avoiding his eyes and crossing my arms.

"Sorry" he mumbles, heading into the bathroom and closing the door behind him. After a few minutes i hear the shower turn on. There's a quiet knock on the door. Taking a deep breath, then stand and pull it open.

"Oh, hey, sorry if i woke you, here" Kayla holds a small pile of clothes out to me and a pair of trainers. I take them and place them on the sofa behind me. "We're going shopping, I'll wait here for you" she tells me, closing the door. I change quickly into the tight skinny jeans and white vest and pull on the trainers. They look old, but at least it's better than going without anything. I open the door and she turns to look at me, a smile on her face instantly. "I wasn't sure whether they would fit, they look a little tight, but we'll get you some better clothes, come on" she loops her arm around mine and pulls. We go through the house and out the front to where William is leaning on a Land Rover. "Will's coming with us, is that ok?" she asks, glancing at me. I nod my head quickly and climb into the back seat. It takes us a while to get to the closest town, about an hour? But once we're there, it's obvious how small it is. There's a few small clothes shops, a little cafe, was that a gun shop? We pull into a small car park outside a supermarket. I hop out, feeling a little uncomfortable. Everyone in this town must know each other. "Come on, we'll only grab a few things here, we'll properly go shopping another day, it takes a few hours to get to the closest city, so yeah, this is all we've got today" she loops her arm through mine, already leading me to the shops. We end up in a small clothes shop and within seconds Kayla's piling clothes into my arms. "Do you wear heels?" she asks, looking at me around the pile.
