Running. I was running for my dear life. Tears were streaming down my face.
It's been 8 months since the demon's killed my parents and I've been wandering around since then. I had heard of the uprising of Emilia the Hero and about the success of the humans. And I prayed for their victory.
Somehow in all my wandering I had ended up in demon territory. It was a miracle that I hadn't been killed by some random demon yet, especially since I was so close to the Devil's Castle.
And the worst part? The humans chose that exact time to attack. I, a useless 12 year old, was stuck in the middle of a war zone.
The humans were winning from what I could tell, but I was so busy running I wasn't really concentrating.
I had finally made it into the woods and away from the fighting, but I could still hear the screams as humans and demons and angels were slaughtered left and right.
I sat under a tree, clenching my eyes and ears shut as tears ran down my face. I was still just sitting in the dark forest, when the ground shook with a boom.
My eyes flew open and I looked up, seeing Satan himself and one of his demons next to him. It looked like he was talking to everyone, but I couldn't hear what he was saying.
Suddenly a portal opened behind him and he and his demon flew through it.
He was retreating?
I ran forward and burst out of the forest. I was running, and I almost got away. Almost.
The demon popped up before me, and I screamed and fell back on my back. He gave me a wicked grin as he raised his weapon and brought it down on me.

I shot out of bed with a strangled gasp, my forehead covered in sweat. "Just a dream, just a dream," I whispered to myself, over and over. But it felt so real...
I let out a long breathe as I ran my hands through my (h/l) (h/c) hair. I looked out the window at the full moon, or as I call them, a Blue Moon. I fell back, my hair spreading out around me as I stared at my ceiling. I rubbed my hand over my eyes and looked to the side. I picked my phone up and switched it on, shielding my eyes from the sudden light. After my eyes cleared I looked at the time.
"04:27," I muttered to myself. It was to early to really do anything since my parents were still asleep. "May as well try to get a little more sleep in," I reasoned with myself. I closed my eyes, praying for a dreamless sleep. And luckily that's what I got.

"(Y/N)! Get up! Breakfast's ready, and you need to get ready for school!" Mom yelled through the door.

I groaned and rolled over in my bed, pulling the (f/c) covers over my head. "Five more minutes," I complained, whining slightly. I was not ready to leave the warm comfort of my bed, thank you very much.

I heard a light chuckle outside my door, "Come on, (Y/n). You don't have long. If you don't get up now, you'll be late."

"Fine," I grumbled and shoved the duvet off me and swung my feet out of bed.

"Thank you, now hurry up. Breakfast's waiting for you downstairs," she called as I heard her walk down the stairs.

I stood up and stretched, walking over to my closet and throwing open the door and pulling out my school uniform. I ran to the bathroom when I was done getting dressed. I pulled the brush through my (h/l) (h/c) hair till it was shiny and knot free. I brushed my teeth and afterwards I looked in my full length mirror, pulling my uniform till it looked right. I nodded in approval and ran out the door, grabbing my book bag on the way out my room.

I ran down the stairs and threw my bag down and sat down at the table after greeting my dad. I started scarfing down the eggs and toast when I looked at the time and realised I only had 10 minutes before I had to leave.

When I was done I stood up and grabbed my bag, slinging it over my shoulder. I gave my parents one more kiss on the cheek and left.

When I was walking I pulled out my earphones and plugged them into my MP3 Player. I clicked on (f/b) and started walking in a steady pace.

In no time I made it to school, with 5 minutes to spare! I gave myself a mental pat on the back and started putting my music away when I spotted my friend. I walked over to her.

"Hey Chiho," I greeted, smiling. The pink haired girl turned around and returned the smile running to me. "(Y/n)! You're here!" She cried as she hugged me.

I chuckled as I hugged back. "Sorry, I didn't get a lot of sleep last night so I overslept a little," I rubbed the back of my neck sheepishly.

She giggled, "Doesn't matter, you're here now."

The rest of the conversation was just mindless chatter till the bell rang and we were all sentenced to go to hell (cough) (cough) I mean, the classroom.

The bell rung for lunch hour and I groaned as I slouched in my seat. 'Finally,' I thought as people walked out of the classroom and some stayed behind and ate with their friends.

I stood up myself and grabbed my lunch as I started my track up the school till I came to my destination. I pushed the door open and the sun shone down on my (s/c) skin and the light breeze ruffled through my (h/c) hair. I looked around till my (e/c) eyes spotted Chiho already sitting in our usual spot on the roof.

I walked over. "Hey," I said as I settled down next to her.
She smiled, "Hey, how was class?" She asked.
I groaned, "Did you have to ask?" Rolling my eyes. She giggled, "You're in a different class than me (Y/n). I just want to know so I can prepare myself for Senior Year."

I shook my head, "Chi, there's nothing interesting about being a senior. Yeah, I guess it is fun to be allowed to boss around the younger kids, but there's only so much you can really make them do," I laughed slightly. "The work is obviously different and a little harder, but it's not so much worse."

Chiho and I aren't the same age, but that didn't stop us from being the best of friends. I was 18 and in my last year of high school, wherease Chiho is just 16. We actually met at the exact place we sit each lunch.

It was the first time my dreams that occured on a blue moon had ever really been bad. I was pretty shaken up and came to sit on the roof to get away from civilization for a while. I was just sitting there when she also came up. She had told me it was just 'cause she wanted some alone time.

We started talking and I told her about the dreams. She was the first person to not laugh at me about how scared I was over a dream. She even offered to help me find out what they mean. We asked around but everyone said that it was just my over active imagination and that I shouldn't be worried.

They started when I was 16, which means they've been going on for 2 years straight, every single month on the full moon phase. And the fact they only occurred on a full moon didn't help my slight paranoia either. For now nothing's happened, but I can't shake the feeling that something's still coming.

"/n), (Y/n), (Y/N)!" Someone was saying next to me. I snapped back into reality and noticed Chiho was waving her hand in front of my face.

"Sorry, come again?" I said, now looking at her.

She dropped her hand, and smiled, "Geez, of into dream world again. I was saying, last night was a full moon wasn't it? Did another dream come," she looked at me, slight worry in her eyes.

I sighed and ran my (s/c) hand through my hair. "Yeah, it did," I responded.

"Was it bad or," she trailed off, not wanting to bring back anything that I didn't want to remember.

"Yeah, this time I was stuck in a war zone between the demons and humans and angels. The humans were winning and afterwards Satan and one of his demons jumped through some sorta portal. Afterwards I ran out of the forest and got attacked by a demon. That's where it ended," I looked at her.

She looked at me sympathetically "I'm sorry. It must not have been nice. Especially since the last one with your parents."

"It's fine, it's just a dream after all," I smiled at her. "But it feels so real," I muttered as I looked at the trees swaying in the wind in the school's yard.

We were interrupted when the bell rung for the end of lunch. We said our goodbyes as I started my track back to the classroom.

I groaned as I realized we had history. "Great," I mumbled annoyed. 'And it's only the beginning of the year,' I sighed.
