Crap! I'm so late! I'm going to be in so much trouble!' I panicked as I ran to school as fast as my legs could take me.
I rounded the corner and bashed straight into someone, stumbling back and losing my balance and then falling over. And with my luck, obviously, all my school books spilled out of my bag.
I rubbed my hand to my forehead, 'Geez, how cliché,' I mentally groaned as I scrambled around and grabbed all my books, shoving them back in my bag.
"Oh my, I'm so sorry Miss! Here let me help you," someone said as they handed me my last few books.
I looked up, noticing the man for the first time in my rush. He had blonde hair and golden-brown eyes. He looked to be around his twenties. I took the books out of his hands and shoved them in my bag.
"No, I'm the one that should apologise, sir. I wasn't looking and I apologise," I sighed and then smiled at him.
"It's completely fine, Miss...?" He trailed off.
"(Y/n). (L/n) (F/n)," I replied, straightening my bag.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Miss (Y/n). I'm Shiro Ashiya," he smiled. "Well then, be safe now and I hope we meet again," he said as he walked off.
"Yeah," I replied, immediately turning around and running again.
When I finally made it, it was second period already. 'English,' I think as I make my way to class.
I opened the classroom door and everyone looked my way. I walked in, still trying to catch my breath after the run. My english teacher looked away from the board as I walked in.
I bowed, "I'm so sorry Elizabeth-sensei!"
She smiled as her blue eyes softened at me, "It's fine (Y/n), just ensure it doesn't happen again," she continued. "Now take a seat, today we're concentrating on tenses." She turned back to the board, her long silver hair swishing behind her.
I nodded and walked to my seat as a few kids snickered. I blushed as I took out my books and concentrated on the lesson.
________________(^~^)________________Lunch rolled by and I stood up from my seat, grabbed my lunch and made a beeline for the roof. I burst through the door and immediately ran over to Chiho to apologise for being late this morning.
But when I got there she had a light blush on her face and a smile, her eyes showed she was in dreamland. I smirked and sat next to her.
"Chiho~!" I sang out as I poked her her cheek. It took 5 more cheek pokes till she snapped out of it.
"Huh?" She looked around. She looked at me and something in her brain clicked after a second of staring.
"(Y/n)!" She yelled and leaped on me as she hugged me.
I laughed ad I patted her back. "Yes Chiho. It is I, the great (Y/n)!"
She rolled her eyes as she sat back, but smiled, "Where were you this morning, I was worried!"
I rubbed my neck sheepishly, "Sorry, overslept. But you weren't as worried as me just now when you were so spaced out. What was that about?" I laughed, raising an eyebrow as I started chowing down on my lunch.
She blushed lightly again, "W-well, I-I...it's nothing r-really..."
I smirked as she stuttered. "Okay, spill the beans. Who's the lucky guy?" I asked.
She smiled lightly, the blush constant, "Well, you know how I work at the MgRonalds?"
I nodded. Chiho's been working there for a few months. I got her a job there since my parents know the owner, nice girl. I myself work as a delivery girl for the game store nearby. And no, that is not what I plan on doing my whole life.
"A new guy just started working there. His name's Sadao Maou and he's just, wow," she breathed out.
I smiled at her, "Well then, I'll have to go meet the boy myself and make sure he's worthy of my Chiho," I joked.
She laughed lightly, "You could come over today after school. I've got shift after school today," she offered.
I sighed heavily, "As wonderful as that sounds, I've gotta study. Finals coming up and all."
She rolled her eyes, "Oh please, you're a straight A student, (Y/n). You placed top of your class last year. You're as smart as they come. One day won't do anything to your grades!"
I smiled. It was true, but still. This was the last year of high school, I had to start thinking of University and all that. Right now grades were everything.
I ruffled her hair, "I'm serious! Sorry, Chi. Maybe a bit later, but for now it's study, study, study for me."
"Fine," she pouted and looked up as the bell rung. We stood up together and started walking back to class.
"If it helps, I'll walk you to MgRonalds, but I'm not staying," I compromised.
She smiled, "Works for me!"
We both waved and walked to our different classes.
________________(^~^)________________After school I waited by the gate for Chiho. I saw her running over and waved. She waved back and fell in step with me as we walked off to the MgRonalds.
On the way she told me about everything going on in class now and we talked about other random things like music, clothes and all that.
When we got there we said goodbye and she ran in. I spotted the owner and waved at her. She smiled and waved back, her purple hair in it's signature over-the-shoulder side pony.
I looked at Chi as she talked to a tall guy with dark green hair and red eyes. I raised my eyebrow at his eyes, 'Well, that's unique,' I thought.
I assumed this was the Maou she was talking about since in her state of fangirling over how nice and sweet he was, she failed to name looks. I gave him a once-over and nodded to myself as I walked away. 'Not bad, Chi. Not bad at all,' I smiled.
