Tick toc. Tick toc. Tic toc.

I kept staring at the clock, willing it to go faster. I stared down at the math on my desk and glared at it. I loved maths, but the poblem was that I didn't like doing it when I had something urgent I needed to talk to Chi about. My foot was tapping on the floor, earning a few annoyed looks from the kids around me trying to do their work.

Finally the bell gave a shrill ring and I jumped up after stuffing the paper in my bag. I barely gave the teacher a chance to finish telling us about the preparation test on Monday and I was running out the door. I ran up the stairs to the roof and burst through the door. Chi wasn't there but I sat at our usual spot waiting for her.

By the time the door opened I was bouncing up and down in my seat. Chi walked over and sat down. "What's up with you?" She laughed.

I looked her in the eyes and whispered three words a girl in my situation did not want to say, "It came early."

She looked at me confused for a second, "What came early? Your period?" She questioned with a raised eyebrow.

I gave her a 'What the hell' face, "What? No! The dreams, Chi! The dream came early!" I exclaimed.

She nearly choked on the rice she had stuffed in her mouth a second earlier. "What?! No way! Did something happen to make it come now? I thought it only happened on a full moon!" She said, wide-eyed.

"I know! And the blue moon is only happening in a week! And no, I didn't do anything out of the ordinary to make it appear. That's what confuses me!" I cried, falling back against the wall.

She studied me for a second and then spoke slowly, "So? What happened in the dream?" She asked cautiously.

I  turned my head to her, "Well," I began, "It wasn't set in the old, other world like all the others. No, this one was modern time. And the day it was set in was next week, Friday, on the blue moon. I just saw a guy. He was wearing a hoodie mostly so I couldn't really see his face, but I did see purple. Purple hair and purple eyes. He looked like he was waiting for someone. I never got to see who he was waiting for but it suddenly changed scenery and it looked like he was now following someone. The person turned around and," I gulped, "It was you, Chi."

She frowned, "Me? What was I doing?"

I shook my head, "I don't know. After seeing your face that one time I didn't see you again. All I saw after that was black wings, a girl with fuchsia hair, a bunch of really bright flashes and the bridge collapsing."

Chiho shook her head, "That's crazy, (N/n). Why would the bridge collapse just like that?"

"I don't know. I'm just as confused by this dream as you. But what if something actually happens. I've been getting that feeling of 'something's about to happen' since the dreams started, but now it's stronger than ever. I'm just worried something does happen," I said.

She smiled, "I appreciate the concern, (N/n). But I can assure you nothings gonna happen to me."

I looked at her and sighed, "You're right. I'm just being paranoid. They've never been more than just dreams, so why should this be any different," I smiled back to her.

"Well now that I could get that out I feel so much better. Thanks Chi," I said as I closed my eyes.

She smiled, "I'm glad I could help. So, you doing anything next week?" She asked as she choked down on her lunch.

I thought for a second, "Hmm, I don't thi- Oh! Now I remember! I'm visiting my grandpa next weekend. That was one of the reasons why I was so paranoid about the dream as well. Since I'm leaving Thursday night and won't be here at all on Friday that also made me kinda panicky and worried. Just promise me you'll be careful, okay?" I turned to her with a serious look on my face.

"Okay, I promise. I'm sure nothing will happen, but for you I'll be careful," she nodded.

I smiled in appreciation, "Thanks, Chi."

We kept talking for the rest of lunch and after the bell rung Chi looked like she was in thought.

"Hey, I just remembered. Since it's Friday today and you'll have all weekend to study, how about joining me tonight? I'm going over to Maou's to meet his other roommate and have dinner there. My mom was a little skeptical, but she said I could go as long as you came along. So, how 'bout it?" She asked as we walked down the stairs.

I thought about it for a second and smiled at her, "Yeah, okay. Sure, I guess it is due time I took a break from studying," I laughed sheepishly.

"Thank you so much! Well, see you tonight! I'll go to your house and we can walk there together," she told me as she started walking the direction of her classroom, waving goodbye.

I waved back, "Sure thing! See you then!"

The rest of the day went by as same-old same-old, it was school after all. I didn't get to see Chi again since she had gone to work before I could catch her, but I'd see her tonight.

I threw open my closet door and threw on (f/o). I looked in the mirror and nodded in aproval, gotta make them first impression!

I fell down on my bed and grabbed my phone, starting to scroll around on Instagram. Before you knew it I was listening to music and singing along.

I paused the music when my mom knocked on the door. "Yes?" I asked.

"Sweetie, your friend is here! She's waiting for you downstairs," my mom said through the door.

"Okay, I'm coming now. Thanks Mom!" I yelled as I jumped up and grabbed my phone and shoulder bag as I threw open my door and ran past my mom, bounding down the stairs as I hummed a song. My mom laughed as she followed me down.

"CuppaChiho!" I cried as I ran up to her. She laughed as I tackled her into a hug.

"Someone's excited," she smiled.

I shrugged, still in a happy mood, "Well, I got a chance to relax today and I'm so glad I did, since now I'm so happy, refreshed and ready to party!

She giggled at my enthusiasm, "Well then Miss Party girl, let's go!"

She grabbed my hand and started dragging me out. I shouted goodbye over my shoulder to my mum. She smiled and waved as she yelled back for me to have fun.

Chi and I started talking as we walked towards the apartment. She told me about how Maou's roommate was quite nice, albeit slightly strange and quite motherly for a guy in his twenties. (As described to Chiho by Maou).

I laughed, "They sound lovely and I can't wait to meet them."

We rounded the corner and walked on, straight towards our fate.
