Milk and Oreos

Chapter 5

Conner: "Yassie. Would you like to dance with me?"

Yassie: "Yes." (smiles)

...then I took her hand. When we walked to the dance floor, Frances was giving me a thumbs up. (laughs)

...As the music starts, we were in each other's arms. It started slow and we had our eyes at each other."

Conner: "Are you enjoying yourself?"

Yassie: "Yes. This has been a fun night."

Conner: "Excuse me if I have two left feet. I get clumsy on the steps."

Yassie: "Don't worry, I'll be here for you."

Conner: (laughs) "I hope I don't embarrass you."

Yassie: (laughs) "Just follow my lead"

...then she took my hand and placed it at her back and started showing me the steps. I was nervous because I was not really that much of a dancer unlike her. She was a great dancer and has performed on her previous sitcoms. Dancing with her was just magical. Its like skating on a frozen lake."

Yassie: "So how are you now?"

Conner: "I'm fine. Just taking a break after months of work. How about you?"

Yassie: "Taking a break too."(laughs)

Conner: "Are you still working in London?"

Yassie: "Yes. The sitcom isn't over yet. We were given a month-long break before we start shooting again."

Conner: "Okay. Thats good"

Yassie: "Yeah. At least I got the time to breathe."

Conner: "Why? Is it hard working on a British sitcom?"

Yassie: "Well, "hard" is not the right word to describe it. I think its exhausting."

Conner: "I'm just glad you got the chance to have a break. Plus, you must be happy because YOU are dancing with a handsome guy at the grand ballroom on a cruise ship" (laughs)

Yassie: (smiles) "...and who happens to have two left feet!" (laughs)

Conner: "True. But I got the best dance teacher of the night, and she is damn stunning too."

...then we both laughed as Nat King Cole's song L.O.V.E started playing. We never noticed that we had each other closer. It was just heaven....but when I turned.."

Conner: "Oh no! Frances just passed out!"

...we both rushed to see Frances laying her head on the table. Then her nurse came running in."

Nurse: "Don't worry sir. I got this. I got Madame's wheelchair. She just passed out because of the side effects of her medicine. She's just sleeping."

Conner: "Are you sure you can handle this? I can help you get her back to her cabin."

Nurse: "Its alright. She always does this every single night. She'll be fine."

Conner: "Okay, but if you need any help with her, my Cabin is on Deck C Room #12. Just let me know."

Nurse: "Sure. Thank you for assisting me to get her back on her wheelchair...and for the help. You two have a great night."

...then we watched as she pushed the wheelchair out of the hall."

Yassie: "I wish I will still be that energetic when I reach that age."
