Milk and Oreos

Chapter 7

Conner: "Good Morning" (smiles)

Yassie: "Good Morning" (smiles)

Conner: "Did you sleep well?"

Yassie: "Yup. You?" (stretches)

Conner: "I had the best sleep in years." (laughs)

Yassie: "Really?"

Conner: "Yes...and that is because of you."

...I was about to kiss her right there but then, the phone rang."

Yassie: (laughs) "Good timing!"

Conner: "Yep, TOO good."

...then I reached for the phone and answered."

Conner: "Hello?"

Frances: "Good Morning Lovebirds! Did you two have a good sleep?"

Conner: "Good Morning Frances. Yes, you can say that"(laughs)

Frances: "Oh I'm sure you had a great night. I'll be coming back to the island this afternoon, so you two better enjoy your day together."

Conner: "Wait, so you mean there are no available trips back to Suva in the morning?"

Frances: "Unfortunately, no dear. There was only one scheduled ride back to Suva for today and that is only available later this afternoon. I will see you both later."

Conner: "Oh okay, I guess we'll see you later then."

Frances: "I can hear the beach calling for you dear. Take her out there today and do not worry about distractions. I had it all covered. See you later. Bye!"

...then the line went off. Yassie was looking at me, worried."

Yassie: "What did she say? Are we getting out of this island now?"

Conner: "Sorry but no. She said there's only one scheduled ride back to Suva and that will arrive on the beach port later this afternoon."

Yassie: "That sucks. So what are we going to do?"

Conner: "I think right now we should go down and eat breakfast. Sorry but I'm starving since last night" (laughs)

Yassie: (laughs) "Me too."

...We had a delicious breakfast that morning. I saw how impressed she was with the Fijian staff's hospitality. The island was breathtaking and there were only few tourists there. Frances was right about the water too. It was crystal clear."

Danny: "I bet you were enjoying the view, with her."(laughs)

Conner: "Absolutely! After swimming, me and Yassie enjoyed the tan and the view. We were both served with free drinks by the hotel, and I had the feeling that Frances was behind it all."

Yassie: "Conner, is it just me or the hotel is being too generous?"

Conner: (laughs) "I thought I was the only one who thought about that. I think Madame Frances has a lot of explaining to do when we see her later."

Yassie: "Yeah, tell me about it." (laughs)

...then all of a sudden, a hotel staff served us with a delicious fruit salad for two."

Conner: "Uhm, excuse me. I think you made a mistake. We did not order for any salad."

Staff: "The salad is for both of you sir. The Madame has requested for it."
