Milk and Oreos

Chapter 2

Ms V: "Conner! Wake up! Are you trying to get an early tan without a lotion?"

Conner: "What? Uhm what time is it?"

Ms V: "Its 8am. Did you miss the ocean so much that you decided to sleep here the whole night?"

Conner: "Wait, where's Yassie?"

Ms V: "Yassie? She left already. I saw her getting inside her agent's van earlier. Wait a minute. Don't tell me..."

... I got up as fast as I can and hurriedly went into her room just to find it empty and has been cleared by housekeeping. I went back inside my room and dialed her number."

**Phone ringing**

Conner: "Hello? This is Conner, a model from the BeachBuddies photoshoot yesterday, may I speak with Yassie please?

Ann: "Oh Hi Conner, this is Ann, Yassie's agent. May I ask why you want to speak to her?

Conner: "I just want to speak to her privately about uhmm. About a personal matter.

Anne: "Oh sorry, Yassie is busy at the moment. I will let her know that you called. Okay? Anything else?"

Conner: "Thats all. Thank you."

..then the line went busy".

Danny: "Awww thats just sad. She got away again. Its really hard to keep someone in this kind of industry. Especially if she's worth keeping.

Conner: "Yeah"

Danny: "So did she called you back?"

Conner: "Well..."

Ms V: "Conner its been 2 weeks since you haven't responded to emails from the agency. Are you sick or something?"

Conner: "No V. I'm okay."

Ms V: "Don't lie to me, you don't look okay. Tell me, what is it?"

Conner: "I miss Yassie. I never got the chance to tell her that I wanted to get to know her more."

Ms V: "Oh Come On! And you are being discouraged because of that!? Thats just lame."

Conner: "Well Yassie is NOT JUST SOME GIRL okay. She's special and she means a lot to me. I like her."

Ms V: "Then what if I tell you that she is hoping to get included in the cast of La Vida Loca? I saw her auditioning the other day."

Conner: "Really? I'll do that too!"

Ms V: "What!? Are you going to reject other advertisers' photoshoot offers for a low paying audition!?"

Conner: "Yes. Because I wanted to be there for her when she needs me. I wanted to grow with her in this industry."

Ms V: "Let me tell you this. You're making a wrong move kiddo. La Vida Loca is another travelling sitcom. You will have to travel all the time and work at the same time. Plus you will be chasing her too. Thats going to be exhausting for you."

Conner: "V, I found her when we were doing Bon Apetit. I know I can be with her again."

Ms V: "Okay. Suit yourself. Just don't blame me if you start regretting about it."

...then I had to rush to get to the audition. I found out that she got the female supporting role as Lily. When I auditioned, all that's left were minor roles. I heard many complaints about being paid less when you land into minor roles but that didn't break my hope on being with her."
