I wake up, and the first thing I see is the Devil. I try break away and run, but I am strapped down. Remembering back to the fight yesterday, I decide to try to break through the metal bands. I begin staring at the band on my left arm. I focus all my energy, and as if on cue, the metal band gets hit with my laser, and is sliced open. I glance over at the Devil to see his reaction, but it seems as if he doesn't even notice. I turn all my attention on him, and scan his face. Something was wrong, there was no burn.
"Mr. Chlome?" I ask.
"Yes?" He replies.
"What happened to the burn on your cheek?" I ask very directly.
"I suppose you referring to the burn on my twin brother's face. He became my imposter when he found out you were at my orphanage. I'm sorry about what he did, but don't worry, he's securely locked up in prison right now." He said, very nonchalantly.
He then stood up and unlocked me saying, "there's no point for you to waste your energy getting unlocked when there was no reason to have you locked up in the first place."
I stood up immediately, but then realized, there was nowhere I could run anyway.
"Come downstairs with me, my wife has made some lunch, and I want you to meet my daughter, Celestial." he said kindly.
I followed him downstairs, and stopped dead in my tracks when I saw her, she was gorgeous. She was shortish, but still taller than other girls I had known. She had long brown hair flowing down her shoulders, and deep brown eyes.
"Hi," she said shyly, "What's your name?"
"Hi, you must be Celestial," I replied, "my name is...uhhh....sorry I don't remember my name, I'm an orphan." I hung my head in embarrassment and felt my cheeks get red.
"Oh, wait you must be Thomas Maderlyn, my dad has told me all about you. It's fantastic to finally meet you," she says, a beautiful smile creeping onto her face.
"Tom, I hope it's okay that I call you that, I'm going to shelter you here until your father returns. So this is your home now." Mr. Chlome says, not even a bit devilish.
