After a whole week, I finally caught Celestial alone, and got a chance to talk to her.
"Hey, Celestial," I said, "I need to talk to you about what you said last week, and don't worry, cuz I feel the same way about you!"
"Really, oh my gosh, this is the best day of my life," She said, the color flowing back to her cheeks, "I was worried that you didn't like me, and that you thought I was weird for running away."
"No, I don't think your weird, and I actually thought it was kinda cute, the way you ran away." I said, trying to make her feel better.
"Whew, well I'm really glad, cuz, you know, the way it is when you like someone, but they don't like you back, and then it gets awkward, and stupid things happen, but that's not us, cuz the feeling's mutual, and..."
I leaned in, and felt her lips touch mine. They were smooth and warm, it was way better than I had ever imagined.
We stayed like this for a couple seconds, then I pulled away gently, smiled, and walked casually back to the house as if nothing had happened, I even stopped and greeted Mr. Chlome.
Since it was getting late, I decided to head to bed early, and all night I dreamed of her, blabbing on endlessly about "mutual feelings" and then me leaning in for the kiss. And I have to say, what a kiss that was. :)
