Zinc's Dark Days

Day 6: Hello?

Ms. Melody opened the door quietly, she looked to her left and right.

SAN thought to himself, "This is weird. Isn't Blake the one who did this?".

Ms. Melody told the group, that it's clear outside. Ms. Melody walked outside while crouching. Ms. Melody was ready yet there was terror in her eyes. First, she checked the classroom of Krypton. No one was there. SAN thought to himself once again, "This is getting weirder... Blake did this... In my dream...". The group went downstairs. They reached the second floor. Across the hallway, a creature ran towards the group. SAN saw the creature, and thought to himself quickly, "I should know this. I have done it before.". He ran towards the creature. Ms. Melody shouted, "SAN! NOOOO!", while SAN said, "I got it, Ms.!", he extended the blade from his cutter. He rushed into the creature, while extending his arm. The blade and the creature collided. The blade hit the creature's stomach, leaving the creature stunned for awhile. SAN turned around, and hit the creature's weak point. Its head. SAN hit the head several times. The creature soon fell down on the floor, showing no life anymore. SAN returned to the group and said, "Let's continue.

Blake interrupted, "But isn't it dangerous downstairs? It's where the creatures are flowing in from. Maybe we should go upstairs?"

Day said, "But what if there's needed information downstairs?"

Gwen interrupted, "But what kind of information? It's just that it's dangerous down tere, we can't risk our lives."

Jazz said, "What if there are school admins downstairs? We could seek for help!"

Amir interrupted, "WHAT IF? We aren't sure of that. Would you risk your live just to get information? Instead of us going upstairs, more safer, and more chance that there are people up there."

Chelly interrupted, "That's right, and we might find food upstairs!"

Others were laughing at Chelly, then Ms. Melody finally spoke. "We are going upstairs. Whether you like or not, we are going upstairs.". The group went up the stairs slowly and quietly, they tried not to produce any sound that could trigger anything. It was dark. They could barely see. It was much an advantage to go upstairs, so that they could have sunlight. They reached the third floor, the floor they started on. No problems popped up. They soon reached the fourth floor. They expected sunlight, but when they looked out, the sun was covered by clouds. It was so dark, yet it had a devilish feel to the sky. It was turning black. As black as JC.

Jazz said, "JC! It's your color!", while he was laughing, then Gab interrupted, "Hey! You're too muchhhh.", while he was also laughing. JC ignored it, but he soon laughed also. They had great fun. It was the kind of fun that would be rare to experience. SAN interrupted their laughing, "It's fun to laugh, but I don't think it's going to last.". It meant a lot to the group. It was a message that the group had to strengthen up. Zinc headed to the old gym. They could see...

Nothing. They expected that the other levels would line up there. They worried. Their hopes were gone. SAN thought to himself, "In my dream, we barricaded the kitchen". Then Clarence said, "We should go down and look inside the rooms. We might find other students!", then SAN said, "Alright, let's do that!", but SAN felt something strange, and told himself, "This is the time when Clarence died... I should take care of him.". The group went down to the third floor, and they checked the classroom of Newton first. The door was locked, and there was a lot of paper on the glass. Miles knocked on the door, while Blake shouted, "Is there anyone inside? Don't worry, we are not like those creatures!". The group was quiet, then they heard footsteps from inside the classroom. The door unlocked. It opened slowly... They saw Tin first, JC's younger sister. JC quickly hugged Tin from relief. Then the group soon saw Alexa, Yna, Justin, Kirsten, Kiara, Franco, Myelle, and Sotelo. Yna quickly told the Zinc that their other classmates are nowhere to be found, they disappeared when the earthquake happened. Ms. Melody saw them, and told them to come with Zinc.

Clarence quickly said, "Should we keep on going down, or should we stay in the kitchen, and barricade the place?", then Ms. Melody said, "I get what you mean. We should stay up in the kitchen.", then Allyzha said, "That's right. The reason why we went up here, is because we tried to avoid going down.". The group, along with some of the students from Newton, came up to the kitchen. Fortunately, there were tables that were folded, and also chairs. The boys quickly got the long tables, that they would usually use for eating. Gab suddenly remembered and said, "Blake, do you remember when we used to eat sisig with rice on these tables? I'm afraid I won't see that scene again in my life.", while he began to tear up. The boys brought the tables near the kitchen. Then JM quickly closed the gates near the stairs at the new and old building, and said, "These gates should stall the creatures for awhile, if they come up here.". Diesel searched the kitchen and he found a lot of eggs, and uncooked rice. Diesel cooked eggs, while Ms. Melody helped Diesel by cooking rice. Alexa smelled the eggs, and said, "That smells good! I'm getting hungry!". The boys were barricading the kitchen from left to right, and basically everywhere. It took 20 minutes, then Diesel shouted, "It's time to eat guys!!!". Everyone was relieved that they could eat once again. Franco unfolded the leftover tables that weren't used for barricading. Kiara also got the chairs, and helped the whole group by giving it to them. After preparing the utensils and the plates, everyone was finally eating.

Then Wednesday went back to the kitchen, while Jazz also came there. Jazz asked Day, "What's the matter?", then Day responded, "It's that... I don't think... things are going to work out... Jazz... I'm sorry but, let's break up...", while she was crying. Jazz responded, "But WHY? Why? What's the reason behind this? Don't you love me anymore? Don't you find me appealing anymore? What happened?", while Jazz was tearing up. Something was heard under the stove, but they didn't hear it.

"It's just that, I don't think things are going to work out this way. I'm sorry.", Day said. A creature suddenly attacked Day from behind, the creature was hiding under the stove, then Jazz quickly reacted to it, he began to punch the creature, then SAN heard Day's screaming, SAN quickly rushed over to see what was happening. SAN saw the situation, and luckily, he had his cutter in his pocket. He pulled it out, extended the blade, and threw the cutter right into the creature's face, and shouted, "JAZZ! Finish it!", then Jazz threw two hard punches on the creature's head. The creature fell down on the floor. Jazz asked Day, "Are you okay?", but Day just ignored Jazz and walked out, then SAN asked Day, "Day? Is everything alright?", then Day responded, "I'm fine.", while she was still walking, seemingly she was sad. SAN and Jazz proceeded on washing their hands, while SAN asked Jazz, "Is everything alright, man?", then Jazz responded back, "Man... We broke up. It was sudden.", then SAN said, "Oh damn... I'm so sorry for that man. I'm sure that hurts.", then Jazz, said once again, "It's alright, man.", then they both returned back to the tables. They ate the food, and finished at 4:32 PM.

Gwen said, "It's going to get dark... We need to fix the problem of how we're going to sleep, and we also need to take a bath. We smell like the creatures.", then Blake went to the new gym and looked up, and he saw a tank of water. He said, "I just need pipes. Then I can cut the hose and faucet in the toilet. Ms. Melody said, "There are leftover pipes in the storage room.", Carlo rushed over to the storage room to find the pipes. He saw the pipes and carried it all the way to the new gym. Blake soon connected the pipes together, and put the pipes led near the opening in the new gym. (The gate in the corner of the new gym.). Blake suddenly thought, "How do we make a room for the ones who are going to shower?", Blake was dumbfounded, and he couldn't solve the problem. He said, "I can make a shower and a drain, and also a wooden door. But how do I build a wall? We can all shower and smell nice, but you won't have your privacy.". Then he thought to himself, "What should I do?", then he was confused to what he'll do. Then someone was near the gate amidst all of Blake's thinking. The group couldn't see who it was because they also barricaded it using the tables.

"Hello? Is anyone there? I'm not hostile!", said the voice across the barricaded gate.

SAN prepared his cutter, and said, "Are you sure? We're going to open the gate up and remove the barricades.", while Chap whispered to Clarence, "Get the hammer inside the Industrial Arts room.", then Clarence got the hammer and gave it to Chap. All were ready for combat. Kirsten and Myelle slowly removed the barricades...

SAN said, "Hello?"

Then, SAN saw... and said...

"Oh... you're still alive...?"
