Peter’s POV:
As the sun was setting, projecting vibrant colors of deep pinks and purples all over the darkening sky, our fire blazed on, illuminating the dimming landscape with a warm, auburn radiance. The ancient logs, covered in spongy, Robin Hoodsy greens, were arranged in random places all around the crackling campfire, with boys ranging from ages six to eighteen eating like wild animals all around it, tearing apart their meat apart harshly with their teeth.
Riley and I sat together, eating our dinner of deer. It had been one day since her return to Neverland, and I must say she was recovering quickly.
“Honestly, I kinda missed this,” Riley says, raising her chunk of meat higher for recognition, “It tastes so wonderful.”
I nod and smile back to her in return.
“Eat up. You’ll be weak for a couple more days, but you should be okay. I know how strong you are,” I reply, seeing Riley blush at my remark.
“So, they seriously thought you ate fish?” I ask, chuckling softly to myself.
“Ya. Crazy, huh?” She replies, scooting closer to me, realizing a conversation was starting.
“So what did they even have you do?” I asked, afraid of the answer.
“Experiments. One of them including them making me swim as fast as I could with no breaks until I passed out. If I slowed down, even in the slightest bit, a hot metal prod would come up from the ground and burn me.”
“So that’s where those came from.” I said, acknowledging where her burns once were before I had healed them using magic.
“Yeah, and the saltwater didn’t really help.”
“Ouch.”
We both just sat there awkwardly looking at the fire.
“I’ll be right back.” I say.
Riley nods but with a curious look on her face.
I finally knew what to do to gain Riley’s trust back. If my strategy works the way I want it to, she could be plummeting down to earth and know that I would always be there for her.

Riley’s POV:
Peter said he had some business to take care of. Whatever that ‘business’ was, I just hoped he would come back soon. I was sad he was missing the party.
Felix walks over to where Peter was sitting and turns towards me, his long, narrow face shaded by his cloak leaving a small sliver where the dull orange light of the fire flickered.
“Hey, you okay?” He asks with concern.
“Ya, a little weak but beyond that I’ve never been better. I missed you all so much.”
He hugs me, and I realize he’s crying because he all of the sudden started to shake. They came out as little whimpers, but I felt warm tears bleeding through my shirt. Woah. I’ve never seen him cry before. And judging from the straight face he always wears, this was a rare occasion.
“Hey, it’s ok! I’m here now, safe and sound.” I reassuringly tell him.
“I know,” he says, wiping his eyes with his sleeve and sniffing, “It’s just, I never thought I would see you again. I know we haven’t been with each other on Neverland for a while but I consider you a little sister. If anything were to happen to you-“
“Felix,” I said, holding his shoulder, “I’m fine, okay? Everything is going to be fine. I admit, I didn’t know if I would ever see you again either. But we’re together now, okay, so let’s celebrate!”
