Chapter 8

(Esmeralda's POV)

"Steven?" I heard behind me, I turned around to see a girl about my age with brownish skin and dark brown hair, she was really pretty.

I looked down, I was taller than before and there was a crop top version of Steven's shirt on top of my white tank top. I looked under my shirt to check for my gem, instead of its usual green it was Steven's pink gem glazed with the lightest green.

"Steven what happened?" I turned to Steven, he was gone. I was starting to panic.

"Everythings ok Esme, it's just that we fused, remember I was telling you? This is fusion." Steven's words came out of my mouth, so this is what Steven was talking about I honestly thought he was talking about his experiences when he gets high.

"Oh yeah Conni-" Steven was cut off because when we turned around we unfused.

"Esmeralda this is Connie, Connie this is Esmeralda and her pig Rosita." Steven said pointing at Rosita peeking out of my backpack.

(Connie's POV)

I hadn't seen Steven in months, damn school. And well I thought I would go visit him, but instead I found him on the way to his house. He was singing with a girl that had an angelic voice. I was gonna jump on him...but...then it happened. Steven was grinning from ear to ear and was turning even more red by the second. His friend...she was beautiful. She had green eyes, dark brown long curly hair, and tan skin. She was just blushing, sitting next to him.

I felt sick, I knew she probably liked him...maybe even more than I do. And then...they fused. I was about to break into tears. She even had a gem. She was perfect for him. She panicked, like I had. But then Steven explained and introduced us. And well I let them spend the night...
