Akashi's POV

"Owch.." She mutters innocently. I widen my eyes as I see Ayumi whisper before falling unconscious. Damn this feels like a dramatic Korean drama scene.

I feel my eyes widen in fury. "Ryouta!" I yelled as I walked up to him and pushed him off Ayumi, then I grabbed his collar and dragged him close to my face. I felt him shiver in fear. I looked straight at him in the eye with a menacing famous glare of mine.

Kise's POV

Before I knew it I was on Ayumi and her nose and head was bleeding. Damn shit, what did I do? As I thought to myself. Then I felt someone harshly push me and pull me up by my collar. "Ryouta!" I hear someone say.

Shit that is THE Akashi. He pulled me close to his face and he looked me straight in the eye with his menacing death glare.

"Perish." He said giving me one of his famous glares that kills. I mean if looks could kill, this guy would be the best at it.

I did what I was told and ran off, scurrying outside the gym as I hear Yukio yelling at me for being an idiot as usual.

I didn't mean to hurt anyone ssu.

Akashi's POV

I looked at the condition Ayumi was in. Dammit that Ryouta. I picked her up bridal style and carried her to the medical office. They called hospital because no medical staff was available at this time. I sat by her during everything. I did not know why though. I sat there and examined her face features. Everyone knows that love at first sight is nothing than a mere saying, but why am I falling into this hole of fantasy? Was it her intelligence that's pulling me in? Or is her talent in being about to protect herself? Or is it her features?

Her features, dark chocolate hair, a pair of hazel eyes, simple but it suited her. Her lips curve into a small smile whenever someone mentions books or cats.

"You really are an amazing one, Ayumi." Was all I could say, looking away into the busy streets of Tokyo.

Soon enough we arrived at the hospital she looked so vulnerable, so defenseless and so lifeless. Her mother came rushing into the room crying and her father ran into the room completely unorganized. They muttered quiet prayers to each other, wishing for their daughters well-being, after some complicated procedures the nurses went though, Ayumi slowly woke up, quickly adapting to the sudden sunlight on her orbs. She stayed like that, with a blank expression.

"Oh! Are you okay?!" Her mother asked with tears streaming down her face, quickly wiping them away.

"Sazuki, speak!" Her father ordered, as one of his eyebrows twitched, I watched him as his eyes demanded Ayumi to return from lalaland.

"Ayumi?" I asked with my eyes filled with worry, looking at the blank idiot sit like that.

"Ayumi?" She asked, looking around with a confused look plastered onto her pale face.

Right after that, a young nurse came into creamy coloured room with a guilty expression. "Hi, after analyzing some research some bits of her memory may be temporarily lost due to the hard collision, I'm very sorry." In reality, she didn't look sorry at all, she's been telling this to so many people it doesn't even hurt to say it anymore.

"Oh no!" Ayumi's mother quickly reacted, as tears started to stream down her face, small sobs escaped her thin lips as she held her face with her hands.

"Sazuki! I'm your father. The one who raised you. Don't forget me!" He desperately screamed, shaking the last few fibers of life out of the already dead brunette. I placed my hand on his shoulder, "Stop that." I ordered, glaring at him.

"I am Ayumi Sazuki, father. Stop that." She ordered, with that timid voice of hers. Her head collided with my chest as soon as I took a seat. Her hair smelt like flowers picked fresh from a field.

The same nurse walked up to me, "is she your girlfriend?" She questioned, half out of jealousy and half out of curiosity.

"No," I honestly answered, she sparked my interest many times, blame me for being a fool for not making her mine.

***

"Um, Akashi-san?" Ayumi's mother turned to me, still obviously upset. Her facial expression, grief, pain, regret gave me the will to want to take care of Ayumi. I gave her a blank look, signalling for her to continue what she was going to say.

"Please take care of her. She really tries to act independent and all, but she really enjoys others' company!" She tried her best to convince me, I watched her, desperate, in need, her eyes filled with a void of darkness.

I looked at the pitiful state she was in, "Of course, but I will not guarantee anything unfortunately." I answered, smiling.

"Seijuro! I will call you Seijuro from now on!" She chanted. I nodded in approval as she cheered on, as her mood lighted up from a few minutes ago.

Crazy, what have I gotten myself into.
