Draco's P.O.V

There were a lot of whispers around the famous Harry Potter as he walked into Great Hall.

Looking at them, laughing and everything. Probably just finishing up their conversation about the first lesson or something about that.

The thought just made me nauseous. Thinking about them hanging around in their common room talking about whatever they talk about when they are together. They were probably even sharing sweets as they talked.

"Uh...Malfoy? What are you staring at?" Goyle stupidly asked as he brings me back to reality.

"Nothing." I lied "Eat quickly, I want to get to classes before anybody does so we get the most decent seats all the way in the back."

"Yes..." Crabbe and Goyle said in unison. They quickly ate their cupcakes, liver pies, steak brownies, and drank their pumpkin juice, and then we were off. As far away from the three of them as possible.

When we got there, a bushy haired girl was already sitting in the very front of the room with her head buried in a huge textbook. By the look of the back of her head, I know she's nothing compared to Clarissa.

"Let's just take a seat at the very end of the class so the teacher won't notice us." I said, but I was also thinking that maybe if I sat there I wouldn't need to make any contact with that girl with hideous hair.

"Of course Malfoy, you're a genius!" said Crabbe.

The bushy hair girl turned around to hush us and I am telling you, I nearly fainted. Like literately...her looks weren't as pretty as Clarissa, but she sure wasn't ugly either.

"Will you guys please talk a little quieter? I'm trying to concentrate here." She said.

"This isn't a library so I don't see why we need to." I challenge her.

She rolled her eyes and went back to reading her text book.

Clarissa's P.O.V

"Are you guys going to hurry up or not?" I asked starting to get impatient. There was only five more minutes before the class starts and they were still pigging a huge plate of liver pie.

"Hang on a minute. It's only our first day." Ron remarked making me roll my eyes in annoyance, "You can go first if you want."

I sighed and packed my things, "See you guys at Transfiguration class."

I walked away but they still didn't seem to notice that I was gone.

My bag was so heavy I couldn't even climb the stairs to the corridor that would bring me to Transfiguration class. Thank god a girl named Parvati was there to help me carry a few of my book when I walked up the stairs. Otherwise, I don't know how I'd get to class.

When we were both on the same floor, we split and said our goodbyes. She was having Herbology first so she went left; I was having Transfiguration first so I went right.

She was so nice. I think I found a new friend who wasn't a boy at Hogwarts.

When I entered the room, a girl who I recognise was the girl from the train who came to ask us if we had seen any frogs.

Hermione was sitting in the very front with her nose buried in her textbook that she brought along.

At least someone besides myself thinks that getting to classes early was important. The room was pretty much empty, only her and a couple other people.

I decided to sit next to her. She seemed to think a lot like me.

"Do you mind if I took a seat next to you?" I smiled as politely as possible.
