Draco's P.O.V
It had finally been a month.
I will finally be able to go to that damn alley to get my new wand and those other things that are necessary for school. I wonder what my wand would be made out of. I sure hope that wand seller isn't going to give me some cheap wand, he better not. He better give me those powerful wands.
"Draco!" my father yells from down the stairs.
"Yes father," I called back
"Get down now, we've got to go!"
I got dressed in my normal sweater, and check myself in the mirror before quickly running down the stairs. Two steps at a time. I was finally going to that Diagon Alley.
"I'm ready father!" I called walking down the stairs.
And surprise, surprise. He's right next to the door. All dressed.
Of course he's dressed; my father is Lucius Malfoy, an overly proud person. Why wouldn't he be dressed?
He walked over to me and checked my clothes. Disgrace was clearly written on his face when he finds some dust on the jumper. My mother on the other hand just dressed in her simple black dress. Why can't my father be as cool as my mother? Why does he have to be so uptight about every single thing?
"Clean that off your shoulders right now." He said in a monotone but I can feel the intensity in the room rise.
"Yes Father" I quickly wipe my shoulders and check it again.
"Better." He said looking away as he placed one hand on my shoulder and the other on the walking stick of his.
How did a person like my mother ever ended up with this unpleasant person. I look up at my mother who gave me a hopeful smile down at me as she holds my hand.
The trip to Diagon Alley wasn't very pleasant. Whenever I try to start a conversation with my father, he would just shut it down with his simple "Shut up, Draco."
Why are we so distant? What happened in the past that made him the way he is now? I just don't get it. How can anybody in the world be so grumpy?
"We're here Draco." My mother said to me excitedly. We went off the coach and headed towards the entrance of Leaky Cauldron. We kept on walking and walking until we stopped at a dead end.
My father tapped a few bricks and a door appeared.
The alley was so crowded.
I've never seen that many witch and wizards in so many places. I never get to see such a big crowd. My father never let me go out because he's afraid that I'll get those muggle diseases.
But I know why he wouldn't let me out. He's afraid that I'd make friends with those mudbloods and muggles.
"Where are we going first, father?" I asked eagerly.
"We're going to the robe shop first; we need to go get you your robes for Hogwarts." He said, then quickly pulling me by the arm towards the store.
Thank god the shop was close to the entrance; I don't know how long my arm can stand a claw clinging onto it.
When he releases my arms, I swear I could see red marks.
"I'll be next door buying books for you." He said coldly.
"I'll just be up the streets looking at wands, I won't be anywhere. When you're finished, go find your father. I'll meet you both in the book store. Be good, okay?" she said kissing my cheeks as I nodded. I gave her a warm goodbye smile.
